T-600 Bust

3D Model

I bought this 3D model and printed parts at 0.1mm resolution on a PLA printer.

Prepping

After printing I used a primer-filler (gray) to fill print lines and then painted it glossy black with my airbrush in my homemade paint booth.

METALIzING

Next step was the metalizing.  This was accomplished using graphite powder for the body and some chrome rub&buff for the jaw pistons.
A thin clear coat was applied to seal everything in place.

WEATHERING & RUST

Basic weathering was achieve using paint (black, orange, brown) while the rust was created using the Modern Masters Rust kit.
Note: I had to tone the rust down due to being way to bright orange (see timelapse below)

ELECTRONICS

Simple USB powered LEDs for the eyes. Led's are wired trough the neck down to the base where the circuit and USB jack reside.
