* Purpose: This permission is required exclusively to invoke Chrome's standard API (`chrome.downloads.download`) when you manually click the download button on a song track.
* Details: It allows Singfy to transfer the requested audio file stream directly into your browser's local downloads directory (under the `Singfy/` folder). It does not access, modify, or inspect existing local files on your system.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & API REQUESTS
When you perform a music search within the extension popup:
- The extension queries the public iTunes Search API (`https://itunes.apple.com/search`) to retrieve track metadata (song titles, artist names, album art, preview audio stream URLs).
- These search queries contain only the search terms you enter in the search field. No user identification data or browser cookies are attached to these network requests.
4. DATA SECURITY & STORAGE
Since Singfy does not store user data on external servers or databases, there is no risk of user data breach on our end. All user preferences (if any) remain strictly local within your Chrome browser.
