Well When my mum- in- law turned 60 we planned a surprise birthday bash for her and it was over to me to make the cutlet! I envisaged doing a sculpted cutlet in the shape of a Canon SLR camera but also I came back to reality and allowed maybe it was too big a challenge for me. How was I going to get 7 colours in this cutlet( along with white!)? In the end, I decided to make a 3 tiered birthday cutlet( slightly overabundance for a 4th birthday cutlet) with 6 individual cutlet layers made up of vanilla buttercake bepainted red, orange, unheroic, green, indigo, and violet.
Do n’t worry I did n’t forget blue( I would ’ve been crucified if I had). I covered all three layers with fondant that I bepainted light blue. I also rolled out some white fondant to drape over the top of each league like snow. To give the cutlet a little sparkle, I scattered the whole cutlet with plum cutlet spray. also I added the fondant snowflakes and stuck them to the cutlet using royal icing. What’s a “ Frozen ” cutlet without the characters( well all but 1, unfortunately Sven could n’t fit anywhere on the cutlet). These statuettes were just bought off Ebay and were really relatively cheap and a lot easier than making them myself! Eventually, I cut out the “ Happy Birthday Lily ” from the left over blue fondant. And there you have it, my little Lily’s 4th “ firmed ” birthday cutlet!
