SIMS – Students Information Management System

SIMS (Students Information Management System) is a mobile application developed to allow university students in Afghanistan to securely view their academic information such as marks, attendance, fee status, and university announcements.
We respect student privacy and are committed to protecting personal and academic information. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when using the SIMS mobile application.
SIMS does NOT directly collect data from users.
All information displayed in the app originates from official university databases and is provided by the university administration.
The app only accesses data that already exists in the university’s systems.
After successful login, students may view the following information:
Student ID
Academic records (marks, grades, GPA)
Attendance information
Fee status
University announcements
Profile photo and basic student information
This data is:
Entered by teachers and university administrators
Stored first in an offline university database
Backed up by the university in XML format
Uploaded to a secured domain managed by the university
Converted to JSON via a REST API for display in the app
SIMS does not modify, edit, or add any student data.
Students cannot create accounts within the app.
Login credentials (Student ID and Password) are issued by the university.
Authentication is performed using a secure online MySQL database.
Students cannot edit or delete their accounts from the app.
Account management is handled entirely by the university administration.
Academic data files are stored on university-controlled domains in XML format.

Data is transmitted over the internet using secure connections.
Only authenticated users can access their own information.
SIMS does not store unnecessary data on the user’s device.
SIMS does not use:
Firebase
Google Analytics
AdMob
Third-party SDKs
Tracking or analytics tools
No user data is shared with third parties.
SIMS:
Does not show advertisements
Does not collect advertising data
Is not monetized
The app only requests the following permissions:
Internet access
Network state access
These permissions are required solely to retrieve academic data securely from university servers.
SIMS is intended only for university students aged 18 or older.
The app is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.
Only authorized university administrators can manage or upload student data.
SIMS developers do not have administrative access to student records.
Students can only view their own data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if system changes occur.
