Climbing walls are exercise-oriented objects that allow Sims to practice rock climbing. Versions of climbing walls are available in The Sims Bustin' Out (console), The Sims 3 Store and The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff.

The climbing wall first made its appearance in The Sims Bustin' Out (console) as the Life Rocks! Climbing Wall. It is unlocked in Bust Out mode by reaching Superstar of the Jock Career at Toane's Gym.

The Top Hitz Rock Climbing Wall is a climbing wall treadmill, introduced in The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff. The rock climbing wall has a modern look and multiple features. Sims can climb the wall on multiple angles, as well as do endurance runs. The wall scrolls downwards as Sims climb it, like a vertical treadmill, allowing Sims to climb indefinitely without reaching the top. With The Sims 4: Snowy Escape installed, using this object also builds the rock climbing skill.

The vertical climbing wall is much more modern than past renditions as now Sims can climb on it on multiple angles and the climbing wall has a treadmill allowing for extended use. Challenging modes will emit fire from the treadmill to which a Sim might be singed or be set on fire.

The Rock Climbing Skill is essential for Sims who want to explore Mt. Komorebi in its entirety. It does what it says on the tin, letting your Sim climb walls and rocks to reach previously inaccessible places. It is also needed to complete the Mountain Climb Excursion.

Small/Easy Rock Wall - found in the Yukimatsu neighbourhood. It is located past the bunny slopes. The closest lot is 5-1-1 Kiyomatsu. You can also travel with your Sim to the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse and then travel from there to the bunny slopes and onto the rock wall.

Medium Rock Wall - found in the Senbamchi neighbourhood. The closest lot is 6-4-1 Hanamigawa. Head behind the house, under the overhead wiring poles. You should see a Mountain Sign. Continue past the sign through the archway and up the stairs. You should be able to see a bathroom hut. When looking at the bathroom hut from the front, the rock wall is located to the left. I have included photos to help as it is a bit tricky to find.

Large/Hard Rock Wall - found once again in the Yukimatsu neighbourhood. This time you will be travelling with your sim up the hill via the gondola. Upon exiting the gondola, you should be able to see this rock wall. It is by far the easiest location to find.

Near the Bunny Slopes on Mt. Komorebi's northernmost area, you'll find a small rock wall Sims can climb. This is the starter wall, and you can find an intermediate one on the opposite side of the neighborhood. Basically, the taller it is, the harder it is to climb.

While I didn't go into accidents on Snowboarding and Skiing, it's very much worth mentioning here. A fall from a great height can most definitely kill your Sim, though it's not guaranteed to do so. Using gear and not climbing during particularly icy conditions (like climbing in a blizzard) are helpful to avoiding a Sim's demise. Overall if you are iffy, use the investigate route ability on the rock wall to see how difficult it will be for your Sim at that time.

Ride to the top of the ski slope; walk behind it, find the rock wall and climb to the top. At the top, there's a small sign (similar size to a fishing location) and "Consult Trail Map Marker". Your climbing members should also have made it here, another option is to just follow them once you get to the bath house.

I was coming to try and find out the same thing - at level 8, sims stop gaining skill on the medium wall at the top of the ski lift. Apparently we have to go on expeditions just to practice to make it to level 10? Or, maybe books or the climbing wall will still work.

So far it seems that all sims have to be at least level 8, which is frustrating because I read a guide somewhere that just said they all had to be at least level 6 but that is in no way the case. In order to climb the tall rock wall and move on they will have to be level 8, and at least one sim has to be level 9 to climb courageously.

I have noticed that the rock climbing wall from the fitness stuff pack still registers as fitness even though you own the Snowy Escape Pack which has the rock climbing skill. And while I under stand this for base game, I think there should be something that switches for people who own Snowy Escape as this is actually a skill. The rock climbing wall is a at home tool for sims to develop that skill.

Rock Climbing is a brand new 10 level skill that comes with The Sims 4 Snowy Escape. Sims can rock climb in Mt. Komorebi in the neighbourhood of Yukimatsu, where there are plenty of rock faces just waiting to be conquered. At first, they will only have access to the small rock wall but as they gain more skill, they will be able to tackle taller rock walls and even make it all the way to the peak of Mt. Komorebi by braving its tallest, most dangerous rock walls!

The Sims 4: Snowy Escape rock climbing skill is one of the new additions in the frosty, Japan-inspired expansion pack. With 10 skill levels to master, and the intimidating peak of icy Mt. Komorebi waiting to be conquered, you'll want to get your Sims geared up and ready to climb.

But it's not immediately obvious how to plan a rock climbing excursion, or even how to find the rock climbing areas and make it to the top of the mountain. Here's a guide to help you out with beginning and finishing the treacherous climb up Mt. Komorebi and getting your Sims through all 10 levels of the new rock climbing skill. (And note: There are also new Snowy Escape cheats if you want to level up your skills with a few console commands.)

Before you even leave your Sim's house, you'll want to prep for the climb. Start by ordering rock climbing gear, which you can do from any computer (oddly, it's unlike buying skis and snowboards, which can be found in vending machines). While you can climb without gear, your Sim is less likely to be successful and more likely to fall, which can result in injuries and even death.

To buy rock climbing gear, click on a computer, select "More Choices..." then click "Order..." Next you'll want to choose "Adventure Gear..." followed by "Purchase Rock Climbing Gear." It costs 450 Simoleons. Once you've ordered it, the rock climbing gear will appear in your Sim's inventory.

You don't even need to be on the mountain to begin training. Using your computer at home, your Sim can learn about rock climbing techniques which will appear when using the "Browse" feature of your Sim's computer. This will begin to raise your rock climbing skills without ever leaving the house.

To begin the rock climbing event, click on your Sim's phone icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Choose the "Social" tab (it looks like a chat bubble) and pick "Plan a Social Event." Then, when your Sim takes out their phone and begins talking, scroll down to "Mountain Climb Excursion" when the menu window opens.

Finding a way to incorporate rock climbing into the room was a challenge. I ended up going with adding literal stone. I wanted to use the landscaping rocks to create rock climbing grips on the wall around the tub. However, shrinking them down left weird shadows where the original rock had been.

With Sims 4 Snowy Escape, we now have the chance to do more fun activities in the snow. Your sims can not only go for long walks in the snow and snowboard, but they can also do rock climbing, too! They are not limited to climbing indoor rock verticals but will get a chance to practice climbing on real rocks.

Rock climbing is an incredible outdoor activity and it will make your ladies and gents thrive. Your climbing experience in the wild can start in Senbamachi near the Bamboo forest or Mt. Komorebi. Mt. Komorebi is located in the Yukimatsu neighborhood, where you will find different areas for this type of activity. There are three different types of sims 4 rock climbing snowy escape walls for different levels of climbing experience.

Small Rock Wall is placed near Bunny slopes, not far from Kiyomatsu Rental Property. If you are a complete beginner, this is where you go to. This wall is meant for Sims who have Level 1 and Level 2 rock climbing skills. Level 3 already unlocks the next level of climbing experience.

Tall Rock Wall is a challenge. You will have to not only reach Level 6 of rock climbing skill to attempt to claim one, but you will also have to put extra effort to find it. Tall rock walls are found during special Mountain Climb Excursions. You will have to have at least Level 2 of Mountain Climbing Excursion to do that.
