@lgaudet When you install TS3 from the physical disk you install the DRM SecuROM and SafeDisc. SecuROM is a rootkit with root privileges. SafeDisc requires the latest released to market disk you own in the optical drive to play. You need the manual 1.67 super patcher that will trigger auto patch to version 1.69 to remove SecuROM and SafeDisc. You have to patch to be able to run all expansion packs. Downloading from the EA app using the open downloads dashboard does the same thing in one step as opposed to using the launcher downloads tab. The EA app is meant to replace Origin for pc users. Origin is now slanted for mac users. Origin redirects pc users to an EA app but I don't think it's the same as EA app (an EA app like launcher?). There is at least two version of the EA app - EA BETA and EA. Don't use the EA BETA. The sims3.com store has always had issues. Much of the thesims3.com site features are now available in the game. Three weeks ago I did a complete fresh re install of TS3 using only the EA app. I used the in game option open downloads dashboard to install store items- open downloads dashboard. Origin was uninstalled when I installed the EA app (not EA beta). I was able to recover my sims from the Exchange in cas. My game has been stable (store items stay installed) since the re install. You can access the sims profile and wall from in game option. These changes could mean both Origin and thesims3.com may go away some day. There is a back door to the store but it looks like it still needs work. There is a tab with the sim money sign that says store but it doesn't work (yet). The open downloads dashboard works by clicking download - this downloads AND installs items to the launcher download page in one click. Just checked thesims3.com store is working using the back door. I don't see the exchange or my studio (yet?). All I can say is the EA app (not the EA Beta) is stable and very playable.

Stupid question #2 on spouses. I know I can move in legacy loves from the gallery. Is it allowed to move them into the neighbor with an established household (Spencer-Kim-Lewis for example) and have my sims visit their neighbors to meet their spouse?

2. I have a lot of sims in my current family, and I want more. If I move out a sim, they will become ineligible to be the heir. My succession rule is random. Do I roll before moving anyone out to see if they are chosen? How else do people handle this situation?

Hey! I love the Legacy Challenge. I find it extremely hard to play, however, because of the Sims 4 180 population cap in the world. By the time I get to my 3rd or 4th generation the family tree is often deleted and potential spouses straight up become deleted even if I am in the middle of romancing them and let them go home for the night. Do you have any work arounds or suggestions for keeping my whole family in tact for the whole 10 generations? Thank you.

I think these are great supplemental rules! I finished the challenge a year ago, and completely enjoyed it. My sims maxed out their funds somewhere around gen 5, and money was not an issue at all. I would have liked having the challenge of your rules to keep finances interesting. Hope you enjoy yours!

Oh, I think it was mentioned before but, we are allowed to send sims to uni and overseas, right? It does prolong their life span, in a way, but being confined to one neighborhood for ten generations can get tiresome.

As you can guess from its title, Generations deepens and broadens your sims' various stages of life by adding mechanics suited to their age. It begins in childhood, with one of the expansion's most charming and surreal additions: the imaginary friend. This semicreepy stuffed wonder morphs from plush toy into a combination of best friend and personal assistant. Watching your child's purple Martian mutant saunter about with an exaggerated bounce is as charming and silly a sight as any in the series, and you only see him when you are directly controlling your child. Want a snack? Send your pal to grab you one. Want help with making the beds and cleaning the toilet? Ask your invisible friend to help with your chores. Heck, you can even turn him into a controllable sim if you mess around at the chemistry table often enough. You make potions here, one of which will make your virtual Pinocchio a real boy. Well, almost, anyway. You can craft other potions at the table too, such as mood enhancers and the like, though potions aren't exactly new; the Makin' Magic expansion for the original game included a similar mechanic.

Luckily, other elements are more interactive. You can throw bachelor parties now for engaged sims, and if things get wild and crazy, why not pull out a video camera? You activate cameras from your personal inventory and "tape" events from a first-person view. It's actually pretty amusing to step into the shoes of an individual sim in this manner because you suddenly feel like you are actually eavesdropping on your neighbors' conversations rather than having your virtual doppelganger do your dirty work for you. Later, you can watch your home videos on television, though reliving these moments isn't nearly as fun as capturing them in the first place. Perhaps you aren't so much into the partying aspect of The Sims 3. Luckily, there's at least a little something new to mess with for most types of players. Builders and buyers will appreciate spiral staircases and the new wedding arch; family-oriented folks will like how you can reprimand your kids when they're particular naughty; and if you're into woohoo, beware: You now have to worry about your romantic reputation.

Generations as a pack would essentially add depth and detail to each life stage of The Sims. This can be in the form of new clubs, social interactions, skills, or age-dependant items. For example, The Sims 3: Generations pack introduced canes for elders. A previous Sims 4 official teaser for the pastel pop kit also showed an image of false teeth, indicating that we may be able to expect more gameplay for elders, a feature that many sims fans have asked for.

Extended interactions and gameplay for children and teens would perfectly complement The Sims 4: High School Years expansion, with that we already have the ability for teens to sneak out of the house. Being able to throw teen parties as well is a classic coming-of-age feature that sims players could explore before sending their teens-turned-young adults to university.

This challenge is very similar to the Not So Berry Challenge but focuses on different colours and what characteristics are associated with that particular colour. I recommend for fun gameplay to incorporate the colour of your generation into your sims and their homes.

Something special lit up inside you while watching your parents bake & make other sims happy. You knew you could never be as great a baker as your parents so you fully embraced your passion for making the world a better place; through eco living & conservation. You heard that an Island in Sulani is struggling so you decide to start there!

For generations, every sim in your family has been successful & unique. You feel like everything has been accomplished in your family but the magic lingering in your blood & the stories you hear of your great lineage give you enough confidence to know you are destined for great things.

This expansion pack celebrates the life of a Sim in a way not seen before in the Sims universe. It allows players to better see and understand how their sims' interactions and ambitions change as they go from being a toddler to a senior citizen. 006ab0faaa
