When designing a modern kitchen along the east side of River Road in Cincinnati, Earlene Scheid had plenty of things to consider, including functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics.

Earlene initially met with both the interior designer and homeowners to discuss the renovations before the homeowners would be marketing their home for sale. They wanted to lighten the feel of their kitchen and update the cabinetry line to go with their new appliances. To help the kitchen feel lighter and more open, you want the eye to travel throughout the space.

This exceptional home now offers a jaw-dropping interior kitchen that is equally as stunning as the exterior river view. With luxuriously appointed details throughout the home staging, there is so much to love about this home. The clients contacted Jo Potvin, owner of Design to Market Home Staging in Cincinnati to prepare the home for the market.

Although spacious, the kitchen now feels comfortable thanks to lightening up the wood flooring and textural details. Courtesy of the wall of window space, natural lighting floods into the interiors, helping to invite nature inside.

Katie became office supervisor as the business grew, until she was offered a place on the kitchen design team at deVOL. Katie quickly got up to speed designing on CAD and guiding clients through the kitchen design process.

Emma graduated from De Montfort University in 2008 with a degree in Furniture Design. She joined deVOL towards the end of 2014. Michael joined the deVOL team as a Kitchen Designer at our Cotes Mill showrooms in Leicestershire in 2021. Although a lot of the design process takes place behind a computer screen, Michael loves interacting with deVOL customers all over the world. He particularly enjoys being able to bring all the elements of a new kitchen together to create a space that is not only beautiful but functional too.

Following her degree in Textile Design from De Montfort University, Amy joined deVOL in 2023. Many of her university projects were focused on homewares, which grew her interest in interior design and led to work experience at a couple of kitchen manufacturers, before joining us.

And don't forget the little things. George Miller, Home Designer at Neptune Fulham, says: 'Plants, books or ceramic accessories are a perfect addition where there are more smooth and hard surfaces to contrast, like your kitchen or bathroom.'
