Simracing: The Grand Prix Years

About this website

I have archived information about cars and tracks used in Grand Prix racing since 1906 through 1950 (where it became Formula 1) up till the present day. I have listed (to the best of my knowledge) car and track content from simracing games. Download/purchase links have been provided where possible.

Bear in mind this site is very much a work in progress. Google does not really make it too easy to display the lists of information I have collated in an easy way.

Website Updates

2nd September 2026 NEW

Opened up submission forms for Grand Prix Cars and Grand Prix Tracks. Will see what kind of responses are sent in, if it's abused then I will add more restrictions.

Please check the existing car and track lists so no duplicates are submitted.

Added a Download Cars section with filters. Unsure as yet if I want to include all the cars that don't yet exist (there are A LOT).

Added some Assetto Tracks to the Download Tracks page. Still working on some of the download links. I made of a list of them, but did I back them up? I'm not sure now 😄

Also expanded the filter criteria.

My simracing background

I have been a big fan of Grand Prix racing since the early 1990s. The game Grand Prix Legends (focused on 1967 F1) peeked my curiousity about the history of the sport going back decades. I had been playing simracing video games based on Grand Prix racing since the early days of Microprose's F1GP, through to rFactor, rFactor 2, Automobilista 1 & 2 and Assetto Corsa. My history of playing these games is detailed on my other website Racing Sim Pitstop.

When I found out that addon tracks and cars existed I fell deeper down the rabbit hole of grand prix racing nostalgia, hence this website now exists!! Plus, I love making lists :)
