Telgas tech ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Steppy mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information Collection and Use Our application is designed to function primarily offline. We do not collect or store your personal health data on any external servers owned by us.
Physical Activity Data: We require access to your device's physical activity sensors (Step Counter) to calculate your daily steps. This data remains strictly on your device.
Personal Metrics: Data such as weight, height, and age group are processed locally on your device to calculate calories burned and distance traveled.
Usage & Device Data: We collect non-personally identifiable information such as device model, OS version, app interaction data, and app crash logs to monitor performance, analyze usage trends, and improve app stability.
2. Permissions To provide our services, Steppy requires the following permissions:
Activity Recognition: To detect and count your steps.
Foreground Service (Health): To ensure step counting continues accurately while the app is in the background.
Notifications: To provide daily progress updates and goal achievements.
3. Third-Party Services & Monetization We use trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, provide core functionality, or analyze app performance. These services enable us to provide the App for free and improve its functionality:
Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google may use your device's advertising ID and approximate location to serve personalized ads.
Google Analytics for Firebase: We use this service to understand how users interact with the app, improve features, and analyze general usage statistics. This service may collect anonymous Device or other IDs and app interaction data.
Firebase Crashlytics: We use this service to monitor and log technical errors (crashes). This helps us gather diagnostic data to quickly fix bugs and ensure a seamless experience.

4. Data Security Your personal health data is stored locally within the app's private storage (DataStore/SharedPreferences). Since we do not transmit this data to a server, your personal fitness information is as secure as your physical device.
5. Medical Disclaimer Steppy is a fitness tracking tool and is not a medical device. The calculations (calories, distance) are estimates. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting a new exercise program.
