This privacy policy explains how the Simple Coin Counter app for Android (“the app”) handles your information. The app is developed and published by JAM12 (“we”, “us”).
The app counts coins in your photos entirely on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded or shared.
The app doesn’t ask for your name, email address, location or an account.
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device information to show those ads, as explained below.
When you take a photo with the app or choose one from your gallery, the app analyzes it on your device to count the coins. Photos are never uploaded, sent to us, or shared with anyone, including our advertising provider.
A photo you take is kept as a single temporary file in the app’s private storage on your phone, which other apps can’t open. It is replaced when you take your next photo and deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app’s storage. Android may also delete it sooner to free up space.
A photo you choose from your gallery is only read, never copied. Android’s photo picker lets the app see only the photo you pick.
The coin count and the coin type you select are kept in memory only while the app is open. They are not saved.
The app opens your phone’s own camera app to take photos. The app does not have camera permission and can’t use the camera on its own.
The app doesn’t ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location or any other personal details. We don’t use any analytics or tracking tools of our own.
The app shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the SDK automatically collects the following information and sends it to Google:
Device and advertising identifiers, such as your Android advertising ID and app set ID, and, if applicable, identifiers related to accounts signed in on your device.
IP address, which may be used to estimate your device’s general location.
Interactions with the app and its ads, such as app launches, taps, and ad views and clicks.
Diagnostic information about how the app and the SDK perform, such as launch time, hang rate and energy use.
Device and app details needed to show ads, such as device model, operating system version, language and network connection type.
Google uses this information for advertising (including personalized ads where permitted), analytics and fraud prevention, and handles it under the Google Privacy Policy. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Google, as our advertising provider, receives the information listed above.
Advertisers and other advertising technology companies that take part in showing ads through Google’s ad systems may receive limited information as part of an ad request, such as approximate location, device type and advertising ID.
We (JAM12) receive only summary reports that can’t identify you: ad performance totals from AdMob (such as impressions and earnings) and crash and performance statistics from Google Play.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for any purpose other than showing ads in the app as described above.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your phone’s settings (usually Settings › Privacy › Ads; the exact path varies by device).
You can manage ad personalization for your Google Account at My Ad Center.
Where the law requires your consent for personalized ads (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), ads are personalized only if you have given that consent.
The app itself keeps no personal data. The temporary photo file stays only on your phone and is removed as described above.
We don’t hold personal data about you. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Google keeps the information collected by the ads SDK according to its own retention policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone’s settings.
Your photos never leave your device. Information that the ads SDK sends to Google is encrypted in transit using TLS.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have questions about a child’s use of the app, please contact us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
