This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Simple Ledger.
Simple Ledger is a local bookkeeping app. We value your privacy. The app is designed to keep your ledger data on your device. It does not require an account and does not upload your transaction records.
Information We Collect
Simple Ledger does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal information.
The bookkeeping data you enter in the app, such as amounts, categories, dates, notes, income records, and expense records, is stored only on your device. We cannot access this data.
Local Storage
To provide bookkeeping features, the app stores the following information locally on your device:
Income and expense records
Amounts, categories, dates, and notes
Language preference
Currency preference
This data is not synced to any server and is not sent to us or any third party.
Network Permission
The app includes internet access permission only for loading the online Privacy Policy page in an in-app WebView when you open it manually.
The app does not use internet access to upload your bookkeeping data.
If the Privacy Policy page is hosted on Google Sites or another web hosting service, that service provider may process basic technical information such as access logs, IP address, browser information, and device information according to its own privacy policy. This information is handled by the hosting service provider and is not used for the app’s bookkeeping features.
Third-Party SDKs
The app currently does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, payment SDKs, or third-party login SDKs.
Data Sharing
We do not share your bookkeeping data with any company, organization, or individual.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual records in the app, or delete all bookkeeping records by using the “Clear local data” feature.
You can also delete locally stored data by uninstalling the app.
Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
The app minimizes data transmission. Your bookkeeping data is stored locally on your device. Please note that your device’s system security, backup settings, and access permissions may affect the security of locally stored data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features change. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
