1. About Simple Hisab
Simple Hisab is a personal money management and daily expense tracking application. The App helps users record and manage income, expenses, budgets, wallets/accounts, EMI or installment records, subscriptions, Loan & Due records, reports, reminders, and shared hisab/ledger records.
Simple Hisab is not a bank, e-wallet, payment processor, lender, money transfer service, or financial advisor. The App does not hold, transfer, process, or collect real money. All financial records are entered and managed by the user for personal tracking purposes.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information depending on how you use the App and which features you choose to enable.
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:
- email address;
- display name, if provided;
- user ID or authentication ID;
- Google account basic profile information if you use Google Sign-In, such as name, email address, and profile photo, depending on what Google shares with us after your permission;
- password authentication information handled through Firebase Authentication.
We do not store your password in plain text.
2.2 Profile Information
If you choose to create or update your profile, we may collect:
- profile name;
- profile photo;
- selected app preferences such as currency, language, theme, security settings, and similar preferences.
Profile photo is optional and is used only to display your profile inside the App.
2.3 Financial and App Data You Enter
When you use Simple Hisab, you may enter and store information such as:
- income records;
- expense records;
- transaction notes, dates, and categories;
- wallets or account names and balances;
- budgets and fixed expenses;
- EMI or installment records;
- subscription records;
- Loan & Due records, including person name, optional phone number, amount, due date, note, and status;
- shared hisab or shared ledger information;
- reports, summaries, export files, or import files created by you.
This information is provided by you and is used to operate the App features.
2.4 Shared Hisab Information
If you use shared hisab or shared ledger features, we may process:
- shared hisab name;
- member information;
- invitations;
- records added by members;
- roles, permissions, or activity related to the shared ledger.
People you invite to a shared hisab, or people who invite you, may be able to view or update shared records depending on the permissions available in the App.
2.5 Device and Technical Information
We may collect limited technical information to keep the App secure, stable, and functional, such as:
- device type;
- operating system;
- app version;
- device language;
- crash logs;
- error logs;
- diagnostic information;
- Firebase Cloud Messaging token if notifications are enabled.
This information helps us improve performance, fix bugs, send notifications, and maintain the App.
2.6 Photos and Media
If you choose to upload a profile photo or use a feature that requires an image, the App may request access to your camera or photo gallery.
We only access photos or media when you choose to use those features.
2.7 Notifications
If you allow notifications, we may use notification tokens to send reminders, alerts, or important App-related messages, such as EMI reminders, subscription reminders, budget alerts, or general notices.
You can disable notifications from your device settings at any time.
3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Simple Hisab does not intentionally collect:
- bank account login credentials;
- mobile banking PINs or passwords;
- credit card passwords;
- national ID documents;
- biometric data;
- precise GPS location for advertising;
- real payment authorization data.
Please do not enter unnecessary sensitive information into notes or other optional fields.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- create and manage your account;
- authenticate you using email/password or Google Sign-In;
- provide income, expense, budget, EMI, subscription, Loan & Due, and shared hisab features;
- store and display your records inside the App;
- sync and back up data when you are signed in;
- generate reports, summaries, and history;
- send reminders and notifications you enable;
- provide customer support;
- improve App performance and reliability;
- detect, prevent, and fix bugs, errors, fraud, abuse, or security issues;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Where Your Data Is Stored
5.1 Local Device Storage
Some of your data may be stored locally on your device so the App can work efficiently and support offline use where available.
5.2 Cloud Storage and Sync
When you are signed in, your data may be stored and synced using cloud services such as Google Firebase or Google Cloud. This may include Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and related services.
Cloud sync depends on internet connection, device settings, and third-party service availability.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information or financial records.
We may share or process information only in the following situations:
6.1 Service Providers
We may use trusted third-party service providers to operate and improve the App, such as:
- Google Firebase;
- Google Sign-In;
- Google Cloud services;
- notification, analytics, crash reporting, or hosting services, if enabled.
These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
6.2 Shared Hisab Members
If you create or join a shared hisab, other members may view, add, edit, or delete information inside that shared hisab depending on their permissions.
You should only share hisab records with people you trust.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, legal process, government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Simple Hisab, our users, or others.
6.4 Business Transfer
If Simple Hisab is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, user information may be transferred as part of that process, subject to appropriate protection.
7. Google Sign-In
If you use Google Sign-In, Google authenticates your account and may share basic profile information with Simple Hisab, such as your name, email address, and profile photo, depending on your Google account settings and permissions.
Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy.
You can manage or revoke Google Sign-In access from your Google account settings.
8. Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, Simple Hisab may request device permissions such as:
- Camera or Photos: to upload or update profile photo;
- Notifications: to send reminders and alerts;
- Biometric or security-related permissions: for app lock or security features where supported;
- Local storage: to save app data, backup, export, or import files where applicable.
You can deny or revoke permissions from your device settings. Some App features may not work properly without required permissions.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including authentication systems, access controls, and secure cloud services.
However, no mobile app, internet transmission, device storage, or cloud system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your password secure;
- protecting your device;
- not sharing your account access;
- using app lock or device lock where available;
- safely storing exported or backup files.
10. Data Retention
We keep your information as long as necessary to provide the App services, maintain your account, sync your records, provide support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.
You may delete individual records inside the App where the feature is available.
If you uninstall the App or clear app data, local data on your device may be deleted. However, synced cloud data may remain until you delete your account or request deletion.
Backup or export files saved outside the App are under your control.
11. Account and Data Deletion
If you want to delete your account or request deletion of your synced cloud data, you may contact us at:

- your registered email address;
- a clear request to delete your account and associated data;
- any information needed to verify account ownership.
After verification, we will process reasonable deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, or technical limitations.
Deleting your account may permanently remove your synced data. Local data on your device may also need to be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing app data.
12. Data Export and Backup
Where available, Simple Hisab may allow you to export, import, or back up your records.
Exported files may contain personal and financial information. You are responsible for safely storing and protecting exported files.
13. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your account or data;
- request a copy of your data;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to or restrict certain processing;

14. Children’s Privacy
Simple Hisab is a general personal money management app. It is not specifically directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe that a child has provided personal information without proper consent, please contact us at simplehisab@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
15. International Data Processing
Your information may be stored and processed in countries where our service providers, such as Google Firebase or Google Cloud, operate servers.
These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.

The App may contain links or integrations with third-party services, such as Google Sign-In, Firebase, or external support links.
