Simple Disable Key is a free utility tool for PC from developer 4Dots Software. It is a Windows utility that allows users to disable the functions of certain keys on their keyboard as needed. This feature can also apply to mice peripherals in order to disable their clicks.

Similar to Key Mapper, Simple Disable Key offers various options to let users control and manage their keyboards and mice easily. In its case, it's to disable specific key functions from activating when pressed, which comes in handy in certain situations like when they're playing games and such.

This utility tool already comes with options to disable modifiers like your Ctrl, Shift, and Alt buttons preconfigured when you first open it. However, you can always add a new rule/entry to the list via the Add Key button. From there, you can select the ones you want to lock by ticking their checkboxes and choose either the Enable All Keys or Disable Keys buttons below as needed.

All in all, if you're after a simple solution to be able to disable and re-enable your keyboard keys on the fly, Simple Disable Key more than fits the criteria. It's open-source, easy to use, and has enough customization options to meet multiple situations. The fact that you can also do that on your mouse is just a nice bonus. Recommended.

Programming the features in Simple Disable Key is easy: all you have to do is choose the key you want to disable, select which program you want it to be deactivated for and accept the configuration. This configuration can be changed at any time without any problem, in case you want to enable the keys again.

I used an application called Simple Disable Keys to disable certain keys on my keyboard. I wish to use the keys again butg can't get on the application to re-enable them. I tried uninstalling it, then re installing it but it won't let me do anything. My trial has expired. Is there any way of fixing this?

Improved Performance: When XML-RPC is disabled, it can lead to improved website performance and resource optimization. This is particularly beneficial for sites where remote connectivity features are unnecessary.

Do you want to want to disable a key on your keyboard ? Is one of your keyboard keys not functioning correctly because it is destroyed and annoying you ? Is a specific key annoying during gaming or working on a specific application ? Then this application is for you. Simple Disable Key will disable and remove keys on your keyboard. You can also specify whether the keys will get disabled always, or for a specific application or on schedule.

When you log out of your pro account when in deep focus, you can leave the focus session early. This is a problem. A suggestion to fix it is simple: disable logging out when in deep focus. I assume the reason behind this is because you need pro for deep focus and when you log out, you disable your pro, ultimately not allowing you to be in deep focus.

It would seem that simple "disable" check boxes would be a perfect solution for this (or simply not automatically adding ALL networks to my Remote VPN Participants table).

As is, (correct me if i'm wrong) I would have to create a 2nd Meraki dashboard login, and operate this site as a 2nd "company" to separate these two networks from my original two networks, correct?

The download button does not get disabled in the above example. It does get disabled when I explicitly add shinyjs::disable("DownloadButton"). But even then the CSS behaves differently, namely I get a "forbidden" symbol when hovering the actionButton but not the download button.

I don't think this is an error, its more that shinyjs doesn't offer what you want as a feature out of the box. inputs can be disabled, but div's are not inputs, and also theres no implementation supporting shinyjs disable to crawl through a divs members looking for disableable elements. Probably the easiest solution, is to do some minimal 'bookkeeping' for yourself, to make a simple object to record which disableable buttons belong to a group that you want to deal with together and then use purrr to iterate . like this.

I have a client that needs some number fields to be submitted within a specific range and a few other variations on this theme. I'm hoping to find a simple solution, but I'm also happy to go with a very complicated one ?

Tons of js validation libraries around... I have no ready-to-use simple solution for you, but the idea is simple: disable submit button on load, set all inputs to required, listen inputs changes, validate values you need - if all good enable submit button.

I have a similar challenge. I'm asking the user to find a "hidden word" somewhere in a long block of text. In the form, they enter their info (name, etc.) and also the extra word they found. I either want to disable the submit button until the user has entered the correct answer, or, on submitting with the wrong answer, return the user to the form with all the other fields retaining their values. An example of my form is here: -to-rules-validate. Anyone know how do do this? Thanks!

I ran into the nearly same problem. I think it has to do with an activated 2FA via the totp-app in nextcloud 14, which is not updated yet for nextcloud 15. during the installation process the app twofactor_totp has been disabled due to the incompatibility. and no other 2FA option is available now.

I elevated an existing user to admin group, logged in with the newly elevated user and disabled the original master administrator. I created a new user and it never had the issue of 2FA forced lockout.

You can disabled some but not all 2FA providers via the CLI. From Nextcloud 14 to 15 that changed as in that you now have to specify which provider you want to have disabled. Alternatively, the _admin app can help gain access on locked accounts. Note that there are some unresolved issues with recent versions of MariaDB though.

Currently there is not an option to disable flyouts on the simple menu. Was there a specific reason why the regular menu tag would not work here. That is part of the advanced menu so isn't as easy to work with something than the simple menu but does have the optional paramter to disable flyouts.

Although I have not done this if you cannot use the Menu tag in your HubL and need to use the simple menu you might be able to try to manually remove the event handler from the attached event listeners. I believe that event handler is added as focus to the menu items. You should be able to use unbind to remove these event listeners from the menu items.

@jzilch,

thanks for the reply, actually I'm giving my client an option to either use Advance menu or Simple menu, and make them both work on mobile as a simple hamburger menu.

this menu is created as a custom module and not as a global group.

and the idea is we have a flexible column, where an end user can add this custom module and every time that custom module is added it will override the original header global module.

It works perfectly fine if I'm creating a template with only this custom module and not having the original group header, here's the preview -temporary-slug-ee6f11c0-c287-42bf-b6f0-947b607d8858?hs_preview=YOuDUEmg-67239...

but If the Original global group exist and try to override it with the custom module, the hamburger menu navigation looks like it's been triggered twice on the first click, making it opening and closing and here's the link for that ( -simplr-ai.sandbox.hs-sites.com/-temporary-slug-438a8eb3-04e1-4ba4-8ef0-f36d8b7157d2?hs_pr...) go to mobile view> open the hamburger menu > click on customer stories.

these things only happen if the flyout is enabled, I'm suspecting the Projecs.js that comes from the flyout.

Actually it is done because I configured a specific DNS on this interface and over the router that is connected to this machine (a simple TPLink with access control) I created a rule to block DNS traffic. The problem it is still showing that Internet connection is present (See "Access type" status, while the right should be "No Internet Access").

A switch to disable the operation of the rear hatch seems to be a missing feature. I am supposed to 'leave the key somewhere else' and that would solve the problem, but why should I have to when a simple disable switch could fix this? e24fc04721
