I am a full professor in the Department of Harbor and River Engineering at National Taiwan Ocean University. My current research interests include the following three areas:
I am interested in improving technologies for solving related problems of natural hazards, such as landslide, flood, and drought.
Besides, engineering hydrogeology is my second research area. My research goal in engineering hydrogeology includes site characterization and modeling studies. I focus on three specific problems, which are an exploration of groundwater resources in mountainous areas, radioactive waste disposal, and geothermal energy.
My last study area is developing educational kits for disaster prevention. Developing novel pedagogical systems is beneficial for foundation establishment and talent cultivation of disaster prevention education.
