The Simmons Laboratory
The Simmons Laboratory research mission is to create new knowledge in the areas of cancer biology and immunology to positively impact health disparities affecting vulnerable populations in the United States and abroad.
We are interested in applying interdisciplinary approaches to better understand the mechanisms of cancer growth and to develop new ways to eliminate cancer cells. We are actively engaged in the training of the next generation of biomedical scientists at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Simmons Lab is affiliated with programs in departments across the University of Minnesota, including the Masonic Cancer Center, College of Pharmacy Duluth, and the UMD Integrated Biosciences Graduate Program.
