Growing up FIFA street was my favorite game to play on my PlayStation 2 console. I thought to this day that the reason I really enjoyed this game was because its based around my favorite sport growing up , Football!
But, while looking for games that would fit this exercises' criteria, an idea came to mind that maybe the reason I really loved this game was because of how real it felt to me.
What Culture ?
Well football culture was already in video games , PES and FIFA were doing such a good job of bringing in football fans into the video game world by creating a super realistic 11vs11 team football game, But one thing was that for 12 year old Hadi and millions in other countries , none of them felt real because we did not play football in stadiums with 11 players, we used to play with 3 4 people in a street doing all kinds of freestyle skills and tricks having fun with different street rules. This game turned street football culture to a realistic gamified product that had so many areas to explore such as mini games, skill show case games and by bringing in footballs biggest icons in that age to the game , they managed to make this game super crazy fun for anyone who touched it. I loved every game in this series as you could follow the story line and create yourself as a playable character and explore the streets of Brazil or Europe and play with the biggest names in the world in the same kind of streets you would play with your neighbor friends!
