"Sam the Pretty" is a tribute to the fascinating snails I encountered during my walks while living in the UK. I’ve always found snails captivating—these resilient little creatures carrying their heavy shells, their homes, on their backs as they move slowly but persistently, never giving up.
In this piece, I wanted to capture their unique essence, blending bold shapes and vibrant colors to reflect both their fragility and strength. The swirling forms and dynamic lines suggest the spiral of their shells and the slow, determined journey they take. The bright palette symbolizes the beauty and quiet tenacity of these often-overlooked animals. For me, this artwork is about resilience, patience, and the charm of life's small wonders.
