1. Introduction Silence ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and safeguards your information. Silence is designed as an "Offline-First" application, meaning your personal data primarily remains on your device.
2. Sensitive Permissions & Data Usage
To provide core functionalities (Spam Blocking and Whitelist), the app requires the following permissions:
Call Screening Service & Call Logs:
Purpose: We use this permission to detect incoming calls and identify if a number matches your blocking rules (e.g., Prefixes, Spam patterns).
Data Handling: Incoming phone numbers are processed locally on your device in real-time. We do not upload your call history to any external server.
Read Contacts (READ_CONTACTS):
Purpose: This permission is required for the "Safe Zone" (Whitelist) feature. It allows the app to recognize numbers saved in your contacts so they are never blocked.
Data Handling: Contact data is synced to a local secure database (Room Database) on your device. We do not upload, share, or sell your contact list.
3. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob:
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect data (such as Device ID, Advertising ID, and IP address) to provide personalized ads.

5. Security We implement security measures including local encryption and Biometric Lock support to protect your preferences and logs within the app.
