Silead Touch Driver Windows 10

Hello, I have a hi10 pro hq64g42170100364 and after reinstalling windows it does not work the touch, I installed the official drivers of hi10 pro, hi10 and hi10 plus, all of them the touch was recognized but very different places from where I had touched, I tried using the windows tool for calibration and it was no use, how to solve?

i need if a driver that works on a clean install of windows, i dont like to use a manufacturer iso, all my gadgets i take the manufacturer system.

And there is no reason why the driver does not work on a clean windows iso.

I've installed a few distros already (Kubuntu and Manjaro) and so far they run far faster than windows despite the low RAM. My only issue is that neither distro had working touchscreen drivers for it. (It has an external removable keyboard thank God)

I did a clean install of 3.8.30 and had a crack at compiling the silead module from GitHub - sigboe/gslX68X: Kernel space driver for Silead touch screen digitizers.

It compiled ok and installs. lsmod shows it installed, but no mention of loading the firmware and the touch does not work.

The module is about 20k in size, compared to 25k for the ubuntu module, so I'm guessing the source comes from somewhere else.

I'm currently using Windows 10 on a tablet/PC, the touch screen feature used to work flawlessly on the original install of Windows 10 which came with the device. But after I tried to install Ubuntu I couldn't login on Windows anymore and had to make a fresh install, but now the driver doesn't work properly anymore with the screen touch commands mirrored, apparently divided in half and the cursor moving on the opposite direction of my finger. I tried to install the drivers from the Windows update catalogue and the ones made available by the manufacturer, but the screen behave even more strangely or no change was perceived. I think the device is a Silead Touch L2c.

Hello everyone! So I got a Trekstor Tablet that had to be formatted to install from scratch Windows 10 because the upgraded installation from Windows 7 was pretty bad and the internal storage was full (16GB only). I installed everything, almost all the drivers installed but the one that's needed for the touchscreen to work. I donwloaded the driver straight from the company site and is clearly labeled for Windows 10. Trying to install it in any possible way doesent' work (different mix of compatibility mode, execution as system administrator and trough the device manager). Windows update tries to install a driver but every time I reboot the tablet the system decides to install it again. All this installations result succesful but does that over and over again. After looking around in the internet I find a driver that installs, touchscreen works but it's off in the vertical space by more than half of the screen and horizontal by a small amout (with the screen horizontal, but looks like if I press really high that the touch are registered almost correctly). I go through the calibration process but the calibration has no effect whatsoever even if saved correctly by the system. The drivers provided by the manufacturer and the ones I found on the internet looked almost identical so I tried to merge the files to see if I could install it but nope, that didn't work. Looked up again on the internet but couldn't find anything. So now I'm here, asking you tech heads to try and help me else I'll need to send back (fortunately for free) something that's not working for a stupid thing.

Hi, I got a Kogan D500 2in1 (cheap aussie tablet) which has a Silead touchscreen. Windows did not work, so to get the TS going I downloaded the driver pack from Kogan and tried the silead tools and methods by onitake on github but no success, keep getting initializie errors.

So I then tried all the fw in the linux folder but again no success,

It is not recognised by wayland of course so no testing can be done.

Under F34 I did get recognition by xinput but always got 32768 on coords when touched.

I have run out of things to try but would like to finish the job properly so any ideas on how to get it working is welcomed.

The CPU is a Celeron N3350 with integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 i915. The touchscreen is a Silead x680 type controller. I am unsure if it is a 1680 or a 3680 as the linux driver looks for 1680 fw while the windows driver download is 3680.

I am having trouble logging in to the forum from the tablet as I forgot the password so am on another computer.

The Silead device is detected in ACPI and lsmod shows driver is loaded but the firmware doesnt load so there is no device created in system.

I did get a device dreated in F34 but the coords were all wrong so I upgraded to F35 but now the fw doesnt load and no device for wayland is craated eg< no xinput device listed, but is in ACPItool.

Hope that is clearer, will try to log in fom tablet to upload some reports.

So the silead_ts.fw firmware is especially designed for my problem. How can I use it? This section from -firmware#silead_ts should explain how do it:

i must edit the drivers/platform/x86/silead_dmi.c file in the source code. Then recompiling the kernel (with that file), and somewhere add the firmware which i referred in the modified file.

I used apt-get source linux-headers-4.15.0-33-generic and got the linux-4.15 folder of 800 MB. That has the path drivers/platform/x86/silead_dmi.c in which i already made the drivers/platform/x86/silead_dmi.c file. Following the guide i used apt-get source linux-image-$(uname -r) and got the linux-signed-4.15.0 folder of 118 kB.

It seems the latest driver from Kionix no longer works the same way. If your rotation problems have come back with a recent windows 10 update, or if you have problems with the method described on this page, then please download and install the old driver here and try that first.

Both of these have some TP drivers for the silead chipset, perhaps one of them will have the correct orientation for your device. I downloaded them from the big driver bundles they provided here: and have zipped up just the touch panel drivers for you.

u.u someone found a solution for the cube iwork 10? does not rotate to vertical after an update of the stupid windows. I did what he said. Update driver, and change the registry with each of the models and nothing.

Hi Samuel. Yesterday I completely wiped my tablet and installed fresh copy of windows 8 along with all of the original drivers. This appears to be a hardware problem as the touch screen is rotated 90 degrees from the display. This is a Digital2 1015w and I only paid $200 for it 5 years ago. I think it is just time for a new one.

I think the touch drivers are responsible for assigning relative orientation between LCD and touch. Maybe check out some of the other comments regarding trying drivers for the same chipset, from other devices?

If you uninstall touch drivers, and then try to reinstall by windows auto driver search, does the rotation direction change? If you uninstall the rotation sensor (kionix fusion) driver, does the touch orientation resolve?

Searching in many repositories I found this one that contains firmware images for the Silead touchscreen controllers in various tablet (and other) devices, but my tablet firmware wasn't there. Then I tried to extract the firmware from the tablet's Windows drivers but the extraction tool told me no firmware was found in those drivers.

For touchscreen to work, firmware is needed. For silead (recommended) driver, copy mssl1680.fw file that was extracted from Windows drivers to /usr/lib/firmware/silead/ directory. Then, Calibrating Touchscreen will be needed. Until a better solution is found, this entry can be added at the bottom of .xinitrc file for relatively usable touchpad:

Does anyone know what version of silead touch drivers are needed to get touch working on Kogan Atlas Go. After upgrading the expansion SSD storage and re-installing to windows pro on it, i lost touch. Both Touch and accellerometer drivers cannot be found.

Have used google for last month searching for what the tablet was rebranded from hoping i could get the drivers from the Chinese manufacturers site. been through windows catalog also and tried all Silead drivers to no avail. i know they are silead, because it is listed under the tablets bios as the Touch Device.

I'd be immensely grateful if you could export the image or your touch screen device drivers somehow. They should appear in device manager as "K2" something or other under HID devices, if I recall correctly (which I likely dont). They should be SileadTouch something or other.
