Silas Amo-Agyei

About me

I am currently a Postdoctotal Research Fellow within the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics Research Group at the University of Manchester. Previously, I worked as an Associate Evaluation Officer at the Evaluation Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and as a consultant at the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). I  obtained my PhD in Economics from the Department of Economics at the University of Lausanne in 2022. I have specialised expertise in applied microeconomics and microeconometrics, with a research specialisation in health economics and policy evaluation.

Research interests:

Applied Microeconomics: Health Economics, Labour Economics, Development Economics and Economics of Ageing and Subjective Wellbeing

Other professional activity:

(1) Advisory Board Resource Person, Programme for Employment Promotion in Africa with the Diaspora (WIDU Africa), German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)
