• Best For: Sikawai 2 is ideal for owners who prioritize rugged durability and easy tool-free installation in harsh weather conditions.
• Best For: The SplashNColor model suits drivers who want a clean aesthetic finish and are willing to source their own mounting hardware for a standard fit.
The Sikawai 2 Pack Trailer Hitch Cover stands out immediately because of its material composition. Made entirely from durable black rubber, this product is engineered to withstand the elements better than many rigid alternatives. If you live in an area where winter snow, ice, and road salt are common, or if your vehicle sits in a parking garage exposed to moisture, this rubber construction offers a tangible barrier against rust forming inside your receiver tube.
Installation is arguably the most practical feature here. You do not need to hunt for screws, pins, or clips to get this working. The design relies on friction with the internal ribs of the receiver tube to stay secure. This means you can push it into place in seconds and check its security by simply pulling on it. For someone who values convenience and wants a solution that fits Class 3, 4, and 5 hitch receivers without fuss, this is a straightforward choice. The fact that it comes with two units adds value, ensuring you have a spare ready if one gets lost or wears down over time.
However, this product is strictly a functional protector rather than a cosmetic upgrade. While the black rubber looks neat, it does not claim to transform the appearance of your truck. It is purely about function: keeping dirt, vermin, and water out of the tube when you aren't towing. If your primary goal is to make your truck look polished and "put together" after disconnecting a trailer, this might feel too utilitarian. But for the driver who treats their tow receiver as a vital component that needs sealing against the worst of nature, the Sikawai 2 delivers exactly what the specifications promise.

The splash n color SplashNColor Hitch Receiver takes a different approach, focusing heavily on the visual and environmental cleanliness of your vehicle's rear end. This plug is made of plastic and measures roughly 2 x 6 x 4 inches, offering a slim profile that fills the empty space left when a trailer is removed. The manufacturer explicitly highlights the "finished look," noting that an uncovered opening can stand out negatively even if the rest of the truck looks pristine. By covering the open end, it prevents the receiver from looking like an unfinished gap, which is particularly helpful when you park at work or head home without a trailer attached.
Its core utility lies in preventing buildup. When a hitch receiver is left open between trips, it becomes a trap for mud, leaves, water, and road debris. This plug acts as a physical barrier, keeping those elements outside the tube where they belong. This is especially relevant for anyone who parks outdoors under trees or drives through muddy roads frequently. The design ensures that the unused receiver stays clean, reducing the maintenance needed to clear out clogs before your next towing season. It effectively seals the tube against the mess that accumulates during errands and commutes.
There is a significant trade-off to consider regarding installation. Unlike the Sikawai option, this package includes only the plastic part itself. No mounting hardware is included, meaning you must already possess or separately purchase any necessary screws or pins to secure it. This requires a bit more preparation on your part. Additionally, since it is a single unit count compared to the two-pack alternative, you do not have a spare on hand. This product is best suited for the owner who already has the necessary hardware, cares deeply about the aesthetics of their vehicle, and wants a simple plug to keep the interior of their hitch clean during daily driving.

After weighing the specifications and real-world application of both options, I would personally buy the Sikawai 2. While the splash n color option does a fine job of tidying up the look of a truck, the Sikawai 2 offers a more robust solution for protecting the actual metal components of my vehicle. The rubber material provides a better seal against moisture and rust, which is critical whether I am parked outside or tucked away in a damp parking garage. Furthermore, getting two units in the box and the ability to install them without hunting for missing hardware makes it the smarter, more convenient investment for me.
No, the splash n color SplashNColor Hitch Receiver does not include any mounting hardware. You will need to supply your own screws or pins to secure the plastic plug in place.

Absolutely. The rubber material creates a tight seal that helps keep moisture, dirt, and vermin out, making it highly effective for vehicles stored in enclosed areas like parking garages.
Both products are designed for standard 2-inch square receiver tubes, fitting Class 3, 4, and 5 hitches, though you should always confirm your specific receiver dimensions before purchasing.
