At Signature Maker - Scan & Sign, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines our data handling practices, centered on our "On-Device First" philosophy. Our app is designed to ensure that your sensitive documents and signatures never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share them.

1. Our "On-Device" Commitment

We believe your documents and biological signatures are your private property.

• Local Processing: All core features—including Document Scanning (OCR), PDF Conversion (Word, Excel, PPT to PDF), and Manual Signature Drawing—are performed locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks.

• No Cloud Uploads: We do not host, store, or transmit your documents, scans, or signatures to any external servers.

• Local Storage: All saved signatures and signed files are stored within the app’s secure local directory on your iPhone/iPad. We have no technical means to access these files.

2. Advertising and Third-Party Services

To keep this service free, we display advertisements.

• Google AdMob: We use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to serve ads. To provide a better user experience and comply with advertising standards, AdMob may collect certain device-level information, such as:

  • IP address (for general location estimation).

  • Device identifiers (IDFA or Android AdID).

  • Diagnostic information and crash logs.

• Consent: For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain permission for personalized ads in compliance with GDPR.

• Opt-Out: You can manage your ad preferences or opt-out of personalized tracking through your iOS System Settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).

2.1 Third-Party AI Services: "We use Google Gemini API to provide AI signature generation. When you use this feature, your typed input is sent to Google. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for how they handle generative AI data."

3. Document Security & Watermarking

The watermarking and document-signing features are executed entirely within the app’s sandbox. No third party—including the developer—can view the contents of the documents you are signing or watermarking.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your Data: Because we do not store your documents on any central server, we do not maintain a database of your personal files.

• How to Delete: You have total control. To delete your data, simply delete the signatures or documents within the app. Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all locally stored documents and signatures from your device.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since all document processing is local, no user profiles or accounts are created.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
