I am a young mother and public relations enthusiast with a passion for pursing and fulfilling dreams. I offer years of experience in adapting and thriving in difficult and sometimes seemingly impossible situations.
I graduated as Top Scholar with 4.0 GPA and a degree in Public Relations. I successfully completed two internships helping nonprofit organizations build and sustain impactful public relations strategies; expanded my skills in multiple areas including film, social media, and social research; and got married and had two sons—all in four years. My journey through school as a mother of two boys under two has uniquely prepared me to roll with the fast-paced and ever-changing world of PR.
I am passionate about helping others—especially women—realize that they too can succeed in pursuing their dreams, whatever they may be. I aim to empower the organizations I work for to do the same through effective public relations and social media strategy. I excel in writing, strategizing, and working with people. On the side, I enjoy film production and video editing. My school work and personal life have helped me develop strong teamwork and leadership skills, efficient time management, and effective organization. I am quite adept at balancing responsibilities and working creatively to find the most productive way to complete tasks.
As a public relations intern for Mormon Women for Ethical Government, I worked specifically on developing a public relations strategy and building relationships with reporters and journalists. I created guides and templates for press releases, email pitches, press kits, and event kits. I updated and personalized hundreds of reporter contacts across the nation, and I developed relationships with multiple reporters in the state of Utah on behalf of MWEG. Additionally, I worked with the co-executive directors to create an official public relations strategy and execute a campaign for MWEG's Annual Spring Conference.
As a social media marketer, I define brand voice and tone, craft appropriate posts and reels, and execute optimized posting strategy to boost engagement and promote organization values and goals.
As a media relations specialist, with both certification and professional experience, I research and identify relevant journalists and reporters for optimum pitch success. I build relationships, craft pitch emails, and work with reporters to get the best story possible.
