When you write, include your app version (Profile → Help and support → Version) and your iOS version. It saves a round trip.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a record?

Tap the camera and photograph the record's cover. Sideby places it on your shelf. You can retake the photo if the first shot isn't right.

Where are my records stored?

On your iPhone, and only on your iPhone. Sideby has no accounts and no server. Your photos never leave your device.

Will my collection sync to another device?

Not yet. Because everything is stored locally, your wall lives on the device that built it.

What happens if I delete the app?

Your wall and your records are deleted with it. There's no backup to restore from, so keep that in mind before uninstalling.

Can I customise the room?

Yes: the wall colour, material, trim, lighting, dimming, decor, and how records are arranged.

How does the home screen widget work?

Add the Your wall widget from your iPhone's home screen. It shows the wall you built, in small, medium, or large.

What do I get with Sideby access?

Full access to the app, as a weekly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The yearly plan may include a free trial if you're eligible, and the paywall shows the exact terms before you pay.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.

Open the paywall and tap Redeem Code.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Sideby. Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Sideby. Cancel at least 24 hours before your period ends to avoid renewing. A lifetime purchase never renews and needs no cancellation.

What languages does Sideby speak?

English and Spanish.

Why does Sideby want camera access?

To photograph record covers. That's the only use, and the photos stay on your device.
