Hello! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University, with a research focus broadly in applied microeconomics. I am advised by Professors Veronique Theriault (co-chair), Songqing Jin (co-chair), Melinda Smale, Nicole Mason-Wardell, and Jeffrey Wooldridge.

My job market paper investigates labor market discrimination in the job market of college graduates in Bangladesh based on the type of high school a candidate attended - general or religious. I conducted two field experiments for this study: the first experiment generated evidence of hiring discrimination based on candidates' high school backgrounds, religious attire, and gender, and the second experiment revealed that the prevailing bias is rooted in taste-based discrimination. This is the first-ever study that unearthed labor market discrimination based on high school backgrounds.

Before moving to the United States in 2016, I worked as a Research Associate at the Development Economics Research Unit of BRAC Bangladesh and as a Lecturer in Economics at Stamford University Bangladesh from 2012 to 2016.
