My name is rather unusual and can be confusing, so some explanation is in order:

I am Malaysian, of Chinese descent, and my Chinese name is 莫晓琪. My last name 'Mok' is a Cantonese transliteration of my surname 莫 (Mo),  and my first name 'Siao Chi' is a non-standard Mandarin transliteration of my given name 晓琪 (Xiaoqi). In particular, my name does not follow the standard Pinyin phonetic system.

A rough pronunciation guide: Siao Chi - 'see-ow' (one syllable) + 'chi' (rhymes with cheese, but shorter). Mok - 'mock' (with slightly less emphasis on 'ck') .
