SCHOOL OPENING REMINDERS
Dear Parents,
The new school year begins tomorrow. We are excited to welcome all of our former and new students and expect an excellent time with all of them this school year. We also appreciate all the parents who met with us last week. It was a productive and successful time of discussion on significant academic matters.
In preparation for tomorrow, please be guided with the following:
The bell rings daily at 8:25 AM. Everyone will be given five minutes to prepare and gather for assembly. The official class time begins at 8:30 AM. Any student who comes after the official class time is marked late. Students in elementary and secondary who come to school late need to proceed to the principal's office before being admitted to class. Those who arrive more than ten minutes after the official time will have to make up for the late by staying one hour after school.
Please be also prompt in picking up your child in the afternoon, especially those in the kindergarten. No student is allowed to stay more than 30 minutes after the class period ends. Email the principal and coordinate with the child's teacher in an unavoidable case where you will be late to pick up your child.
Here is the official school time for every department:
Kindergarten 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Elementary 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Secondary 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday (All levels) 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
2. Everyone should wear their regular uniform (red shirt) tomorrow. Included in the uniform this school year is the implementation of all students to wear black shoes (either leather or rubber) with socks (white, black, or gray). SLIPPERS WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED.
The student's hair must be neat. Hair must be in its natural color (hair dyeing is not allowed). The boy's hair is tapered or blocked, not touching the tip of the ear or the shirt collar.
Students will be given demerits for not conforming to SIA's dress and hair code, and we will inform the parents to rectify any violation.
We are preparing a modified design of the "special uniform." We will inform you in our subsequent communication once we receive the final design.
For new students who need red and PE shirts and former students who have outgrown the said uniforms, please check with Mrs. Seoun in this regard.
3. This school year, we will serve hot lunch at our school canteen. If you want your child to avail of this, please get in touch with our canteen manager in this regard. However, students are also welcome to bring their lunch to school.
4. Make sure that your child has the necessary school supplies required. Check with your child's teacher the list of supplies needed.
Everyone should have a BIBLE with them. Any version will do, but we encourage the King James Version, as this is the version used in PACEs.
5. Parents must do all forms of communication with the school in writing to the principal and the teacher concerned. We highly recommend using the school email in communication as this may easily be printed and placed in our school file.
6. NO PARENTS can enter the learning center or classrooms anytime without a prior appointment with the principal. For any concerns needing immediate action, please send a message to your child's teacher then they'll meet you in the administration office.
7. We will continue to observe health safety protocols, such as temperature checks, wearing of masks, especially in the learning center or classroom, habitual sanitation, a "stay home" policy for those with bad colds (runny nose and cough), or fever, and rapid test as needed.
For safety measures, we encourage you to administer a rapid test to your child before they come to school tomorrow. You may do it in the comfort of your home and send me a photo of the result. It is not mandatory but highly advised for the safety of everyone.
These are all for now. If you have any questions about the points mentioned above, don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
Pray for a successful opening of classes tomorrow. We anticipate a delightful and exciting year with you and your children this new academic year.
God bless you all.
Best regards,
Joe Araneta Jr.
