Shuyi Weng
Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Practice in Mathematics at Purdue University. I am a member of the Project NExT Green'23 cohort.
Before Purdue, I was a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. I completed my PhD in Mathematics in 2020, also at Northwestern University. My advisor is Laura DeMarco. I received my B. A. in Mathematics and Chemistry at Bard College.
My research interest is broadly defined within dynamical systems and computational geometry. I currently think about geometric folding problems that arise from dynamics on the complex plane.
Fall 2024 Teaching
MA 162: Plane Analytic Geometry And Calculus II
If you are a current student of mine, please login to Brightspace for the most recent announcements and information about the courses.
I am also organizing the Innovative Teaching Seminar in Fall 2024.
