About Me
As a R&D scientist with enthusiasm in cellular and molecular biology, I endeavor to apply my knowledge and skills to technology innovations and market-oriented applications. I am currently working as a Scientist at R&D at Olink Proteomics, Sweden (Nasdaq: OLK). After obtaining my M.D., I received my Ph.D. training in the field of cellular and molecular biology, focusing on the regulation of mRNA translation. My postdoc research is the effect of mutations on cellular phenotype, by developing a circular sequencing technique for NGS. My expertise includes a broad knowledge of cellular and molecular biology, techniques related to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), biomedical lab skills and physiology.
Research Interest : mRNA translation is an necessary step in gene expression which dramatically and specifically affect protein levels. My current research aims to understand how translation is dysregulated in cancers and whether such regulation affects patients’ outcome. This knowledge could lead future therapies targeting faulty translation in cancers.
During my Ph.D, I equipped myself with lab skills of Cell culture, Western blot, Polysome isolation, RNA extraction and purification from cells and tissues, RNA quantity check by Bioanalyzer, RNA quality check by Qubit, PCR, full length RNA-seq libraries using Smart-seq 2, metabolites extraction, mycoplasma detection by PCR, FACS, NANOCAGE. Microsoft office, PowerPoint, Adobe illustrator, R language is often used to perform and communicate my research. I speak fluent English and Mandarin, also some Swedish (Sfi done, working on SAS grund 2 level now).
