Shunbo Zhou 周顺波
Ph.D., Huawei TopMinds, Research Scientist
I serve as a research scientist at Huawei, currently leading the technical team of the Huawei Cloud Embodied AI Innovation Lab. Our team is dedicated to exploring the additional value that cloud computing brings to the current robotics industry. We work closely with leading universities and industry companies to build a platform for embodied agent learning and data synthesis. We are also interested in applying this platform to enable general-purpose mobility and manipulation of robots. At HUAWEI, I am honored to be one of the HUAWEI TopMinds (天才少年).
Before joining Huawei, I was a joint post-doctoral research fellow at HKCLR and CUHK Robotics Institute (CURI). I was leading the Mobile Robotics Group of HKCLR and CURI to develop autonomous robots/vehicles and related technologies for logistics and mine applications. Prior to that, I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2020, and advised by Prof. Yun-Hui Liu.
