Research Project
Project: Incidence and Determinants of Dental Restoration Failure at a U.S Dental School
University: Columbia University
Advisor: Professor Van-Anh Truong
Co-worker: Sharon
Description:
Extracted and organized crucial data from a database of dental treatment records through python (including data cleaning and data transformation)
Designed specific methods of matching treatment records, compared the survival curves of two or more groups, calculated the test statistics by log rank test and determined whether a variable is statistically significant to the failure of dental restoration or not
Analyzed 11 variables in total (including discrete and continuous variables) and obtained an important risk classification for patients based on their age
Project: Modelling and Control of Air Supply System of a PEM Fuel Cell
University: Tongji University
Advisor: Professor Huicui Chen
Description:
Constructed the Equivalent Circuit Model and the Air Supply System Model of PEMFC by MATLAB, optimized them to make models reflect more realistic working situation and analyzed the effect of air excess coefficient on out voltage, output total power and output net power
Proposed a method of calculating the air excess coefficient of Air Supply Part in the case where output net power of PEMFC reaches the highest
Designed a PID control strategy and a Fuzzy-PID control strategy in order to optimize the dynamic response of supplying air and reduced the response time at 4 times by using the Fuzzy-PID control strategy rather than the PID control strategy
