About Me:
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
During 2023-24 I was a postdoctoral researcher mentored by Siva Theja Maguluri at Georgia Tech., and by Aaditya Ramdas at Carnegie Mellon University. In Dec. 2022, I completed my PhD from the School of Technology and Computer Science at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, under the guidance of Sandeep Juneja. My PhD was partly supported by the Google PhD Fellowship in Machine Learning. Before joining TIFR, I worked in quantitative finance industry for a couple of years. I did my undergraduation (B.Tech+M.Tech) in Mathematics and Computing at IIT Delhi.
Research Interests:
My research primarily centers around learning theory, with a particular emphasis on sequential decision-making in uncertain environments. I have explored various problems within the sequential hypothesis testing and multi-armed bandit frameworks. I have also been looking at stochastic approximation techniques to advance theoretical understanding of reinforcement learning.
