BLOOD OF THE WEREWOLF: HELL HATH NO FURY Game Idea by Brian Uhe

“Hell Hath No Fury Then A Mother’s Scorn”

This is an attempt to make Blood of the Werewolf game part of the past, I’m guessing Industrial Revolution era, of the BloodRayne: Betrayal world which was a warp in reality from the BloodRayne: Nocturne 4 game idea. Where Selena not only finds herself in another world but what seems to be the future, but can sense that her son Nickoli, as well as her enemies, are here as well.

The story starts right after the Blood of the Werewolf game where she finally finds out her own father was behind this and faces him with a crossbow aiming at him. She wants to know why her father had Marko, her husband, killed and stolen her son. He tells her that he’s trying to save their kind. Selena is in disbelief that the man she thought was a great and wonderful man would do such a thing out of trust to a madman like Dr. Frankenstein who will bring not peace but destruction to all of them. Her father planed to raise Nickoli into become his idea of a great werewolf leader. At the moment the two are about to go feral and attack each other because of the full moon outside, something happens to their reality and they start to disappear.

Selena arrived at the same time the BloodRayne: Betrayal enemies and Raven arrived, but at a different area of the planet, and the first thing she noticed is the shroud up in the sky which seemed to have lasted for a month to her when the “strange objects” (missiles) flew up and removed it (BloodRayne: Nocturne 4 idea). For months she traveled around and learning her new place while becoming a hunter to support herself. She even met other werewolves, but they didn’t trust her because she smelled different which is probably because of the difference between her world and this one. She finds out that some of the rules are different here where she can transform without a full moon and that Grandmother Moon isn’t very kind here because a full moon makes Selena lose control of her werewolf self.

GAME PLAY: A modified version of the BloodRayne: Nocturne third person game mechanics to fit the Selena character. Selena’s human form is semi-feral when it comes to athletic abilities while her werewolf form is more powerful with bite and claws attacks. The werewolf form also has claw climbing. Selena can only turn into a werewolf when her mana bar is full and can only last until the mana is used up, no manual off switch, while it takes 60 seconds for an empty bar to refill itself. The health bar is the same when it comes to refilling because the werewolf form has a healing ability but can be overwhelmed by too much damage. Human Selena can only heal herself using herbal potions. Eating the hearts of the bosses can unlock new abilities. Human Selena has her crossbow and a machete. Her clothing and equipment are enchanted to explain their disappearance and reappearance during transformations. Selena has aura vision for tracking and can hear “ghost voices” which is her sensing enemies near by. As a “deputized” Brimstone Society agent, Selena has access to handheld tools like one for sliding down or climbing up cables or similar, climbing claws for areas soft enough for a grip and special exploding arrows.

WEAKNESSES: Silver and Wolfsbane.

Selena decides to visit Votum City to see this Brimstone Society and if they can be useful. Selena knows that there are two types of allies which are the ones you trust and the ones who use each other and she’s pretty sure it will be the latter. When she’s there, she talks to an “agent” about her problem which leads to her being medically examined which amazes the scientists because she’s like a new species of werewolf and she wasn’t even contagious. If she bit someone, they would only be bit, not cursed. While there, she sees a familiar face which is Raven (BloodRayne: Betrayal) which reveals two things (1) he’s older then he looks and (2) he once worked for Selena’s father during the Industrial Revolution era, so understandably Selena wants to know what Raven knows while Raven wants to run and hide because Selena has always scared the living hell out of him. She learns from him that he tried to plead with her father when it came to his grandson after learning he murdered her husband and ended up in a dungeon. When he managed to escape, everyone was mysteriously gone, so after so many years has passed he ended up working for the Brimstone Society, a different version, and learned that history can repeat itself when he once again betrayed someone. After what seemed to be his death he found himself here around the same time Selena arrived. Raven tells Selena the harsh truth that their world was a byproduct of a spell and thinks that they didn’t exist until now based on a theory that the reason they’re still the same people because unlike the one named Rayne they didn’t have versions of themselves in this reality. That they can’t go home because they are home in it’s true state. Despite this, Selena refuses to see herself as some fictional character that later became real. Her existence, as well as her son and husband are real, including the love, and Raven agrees. That even though their world lasted for only a small moment to this side of reality, it was just as real. They use a Brimstone Society vehicle to get about and Selena mentions that her Marko once said that one day they would build a machine that would replace the horse.

There are times when the player plays Raven when it comes to spying where he turns into a white raven with flight and landing on high places.

<Selena> - (Raven is a bit reluctant of this plan and Selena gets a bit deadly serious) Fly….spy…. Or I will eat you.

This game would allow players to explore world as it is after the removal of the shroud where humanity and their supernatural neighbors are rebuilding using left over stuff and tech of the pure vampires. There Selena meets another “familiar face” who looks like a small version of that giant monster of Dr Frankenstein's at the end of the Blood of the Werewolf game which first leads to a misunderstanding. His name is Everett Frankenstein who was the son of Dr. Frankenstein, as in biological, who experimented on him after he died from an illness and also put him into that giant creation that Selena fought as a control center (Blood of the Werewolf game) which she freed him by defeating. This allows Selena to believe even more what a fool her father is for trusting someone like Dr. Frankenstein if he’s more then willing to do things like this and more worried about her son since Dr. Frankenstein once said something about Nickoli’s blood saving werewolf kind. Everett has incredible strength and durability and is like a electric dynamo when it comes to using electricity.

The game also shows the dangers because even though the shroud is gone, some life on earth has mutated into dangerous creatures.

Dr. Frankenstein, Selena’s father and others who were seen at the end of the Blood of the Werewolf game have already started to settle in with this “new world”. Dr. Frankenstein sees potential in this world that was once ruled by those who were called pure vampires, and with humanity starting to rebuild and being vulnerable at this time, he thinks he and his allies have the opportunity to shape this world into their image. Selena’s father starts to regret his actions now that being here may mean that stealing his grandson and murdering his daughter’s husband for trying to protect his child was for nothing. He learns that there are werewolves here but Dr. Frankenstein tells them that they weren’t born but turned because here being a werewolf is a infection. Even the vampires here are different to what they’re familiar with while the deceased Dracula’s daughter Dracrilla plans to use what’s left of the pure vampires and gains an ally with Mocturnal (BloodRayne: Nocturne 4 idea) who is Mora’s uncle. Mocturnal tells Dracrilla that humanity is aware of their existence and are better prepared then before and she responds by saying that things that once lurked in the shadows are now out for all to see and what’s known can be more terrifying then what’s unknown and conveniently ignored. No doubt people these days are too scared to go out at night because they know we’re out there waiting to strike. The others see Dracrilla as more dangerous then her father because of personality. That she may enjoy killing a bit too much.

<Dracrilla> - (Has a crazy smile look while fighting Selena) You go, Mama bird!!!

There’s also other beings like demons, dark mermaids and witches that has joined Dr. Frankenstein with promises of power while there are hints that the good doctor may be planning to betray them.

Selena faces her father again and he tries to reason with her, that this was the only way to save their kind.

<Selena> - (angry) You fool! What’s the point when we’re no longer in our world, one that no longer exists! You murdered…. No!…. Slaughtered my Marko simply because he was in your way and he wasn’t the only innocent who was killed by your so called noble cause which is tainted, and do you really think Dr. Frankenstein won’t betray you in the end? He doesn’t see Nickoli as anything but material for an experiment and I learned that his own son, and I mean his own flesh and blood, was experimented on by him because even his own children aren’t people to him!

During Selena and Raven’s travel, they meet a sorceress from the Medieval era of their world named Sophia who, with the information that the two share with her, comes up with a theory that who ever did the spell that created their world through the manipulation of reality was obviously reckless (BloodRayne: Nocturne 4 idea) and there may be others like them but from different eras who may have arrived here at the same time as they did. Now the question is what kind of people since chances are they’re not all going to be “good” and some may be very evil, perhaps not even people. Selena does have to fight some gargoyles, the stone kind, that came from Sophia’s era.

Leprechauns and goblins try to mug Selena and Raven. This of course is a weird moment for them and the goblins call them “outworlders” because of their scent saying that they’re not from here. Raven asks what happened to their pot of gold and the leprechauns tell them that the “good old days” ended when the shroud came into being and the pure vampires took over and the goblins say that if the leprechauns still had their gold, they would have mugged them instead. Since this is the Restorative era, the leprechauns and goblins decided to join forces and do their own restorative by screwing others for their valuables and looking out for #1. Selena of course takes them down with ease and Raven thought it looked a bit distasteful because it looked like she was beating up a bunch of little kids.

Dr. Frankenstein bargained with a boss ogre to have his gremlin minions to act as his saboteurs to weaken possible oppositions when it comes to taking over. They can use their tools for mechanical sabotaging as weapons.

One of the thugs who fought Selena is on his knees, because he doesn’t have the energy to stand, and he’s facing Dr. Frankenstein and the others and tells them that he never saw anyone fight so savagely and wonders if they stole her kid or something and the way they mildly reacted to that tells them that they did.

<Beaten up thug> - (After he finds out his bosses stole Selena’s kid and mildly says) Well crap. We’re all going to die.

Selena has a talk with Raven about her father who she seemed to once thought was dead from the game and is still in disbelief for the things he has done.

<Selena> - My father, who I once saw as a great and wonderful man, has become something I don’t recognize anymore who is still desperate of saving our race, perhaps even more desperate to deny that he’s fighting an obvious losing battle since the werewolves here are very different to us. Humans turned into something like us by an infection instead of being a race of their own which may have driven him insane. But what really scares me that if it wasn’t for the fact that I was a mother, I may have joined his cause. That it was enlightenment of what it would be like to be the victim of one’s cause that saved me from crossing that line which makes me wonder if whether or not that would make me a hypocrite in a way.

There would perhaps be a scene where Selena defeats one of the bosses and the boss is on the floor desperately dragging himself away from her as she starts to lose it where she gets on all four before she changes and as she gets closer to him the more closer she gets to becoming a werewolf and gets up close to the terrified boss. Like she had a rage she couldn’t hold back while Raven has to do the talking because Selena can’t talk as a werewolf.

<Raven> - (being serious) Mrs. “Nickoli’s mom” seems to be very upset right now so I’ll do the talking. Tell us what she wants to know and maybe she’ll show you mercy. (then the boss says) you’ll let me live? (and Raven responds) Mercy as in a quick painless death. I assure you that you will not avoid death this night, but you can avoid one that is both gruesome and quite painful.

Selena faces someone named Thugray who sees himself as a great hunter and is a beast-human who is part lion because of science. He has minions with limited intelligence who are either part praying mantis, ant, grasshopper or mosquito and it has something to do with insects running mostly on instincts. The guy has a part hyena sidekick named Bagem who has a sick sense of humor and laughs a lot. She and Raven later meet the scientist behind the beast-humans named Doctor Mighthow who has a female beast-human bodyguard named Abigail who’s part tiger who thinks her boss is the future because his experiments give humans power to face the supernatural that still threatens the world, a threat that killed her whole family when she was a normal human. Later Abigail finds out she’s been betrayed by Doctor Mighthow when it’s revealed he has agreed with a partnership with Dr. Frankenstein and tells her that good and evil are nonsense and that it’s all about who has the power. Like she wanted power against those who had the power to slay her family. It’s all bout survival of the fittest while only fools try to make it seem noble.

<Selena> - (After beating Thugray and ready for the kill) I pity you, little man, because here you thought you were the predator while now realizing that you were destined to be prey. (and then she looks at the scared Bagem) and you will be next because I find your sense of humor quite insulting.
