BloodRayne: Nocturne by Brian Uhe

BLOODRAYNE: NOCTURNE Game Idea by Brian Uhe. (BloodRayne 3 & Nocturne 2)

Note: BloodRayne: Nocturne is a sequel series of both BloodRayne 2 and Nocturne which both ended with a “to be continued”. Not sure about the Nocturne and Blair Witch game series ownership status.

Perhaps Possible Idea:

Rayne = BloodRayne slasher mood feeling.

Monster enemies = Nocturne horror mood feeling.

The vampires have started a new calendar after the shroud was released onto the world and it’s perhaps 15 V.E. (Vampiric Era).

It starts after the ending of BloodRayne 2, and around 15 years has past, and Rayne is still a problem to the vampire overlords as she still runs the city, which is called Dreadful City by the residents, and fight off the intruders, while the Brimstone Society, still under marshal law and considers all the supernatural the enemy, have scientists trying to find a way to remove the shroud and the soldiers are doing their best to keep the vampires at bay. It turns out that the vampire overlords has other enemies which are witches, humans who were given a black witch mark on their backs that gives them their dark power, thanks to a mystical ritual, who feel that the shroud gives their enemies, the vampires, too much of an advantage and the head witch, Morana, believes Rayne is the solution and that chaos is the best offense to an enemy like the pure vampires.

Rayne of course is still headstrong, snarky, gutsy, intelligent, very profanatory, sadistically seductive and takes her job seriously as long as it aligns with her interests, but now that she finally got her revenge on Kagan and his children and cult, she's pretty much does the boring job of ruling the city as empress, and hoping for a mutiny that hasn't happened yet because of that boredom, and feels willing to hand over the keys if it does and pretend to have given a good fight for it, and is always glad to be out in the field to use her blades.

GAME FORMAT - Perhaps a linear game (updated version) that’s similar to BloodRayne 1 & 2 and Aeon Flux or maybe a semi-open world that involves gates, doors, weaken walls or explosions as well as climbing, dropping and rolling through holes when it comes to access. Maybe use the BloodRayne 2: Revamped game as a starting point to develop from with mods.

Game-pad defaults are….

1st Lock target = left trigger (hold) - defense pose

Fire weapon = right trigger

2nd Lock target = left bumper (hold) - no defense pose

Cycle weapons = right bumper

Current objective = back button

Note: The 1st and 2nd lock targets are two different types of lock targets for certain functions.

While the rest of the button functions are the same when compared to the Revamped version. Maybe the right stick (press) can be used for some of the witch mark powers and the left stick (press) for crouching for stealth game-play. The kick button can perhaps be used for drop down in ledge climbing and pole jumping (Aeon Flux) while there is catch ledge. Both wall running, wall jumping, pole jumping, ledge climbing and jump vaulting (Aeon Flux) use the jump button.

GAME-PLAY – Maybe, if allowed, use the mechanics (updated version) of the BloodRayne 2 game and similar mechanics (updated version) of the Aeon Flux game when it comes to melee and parkour (see moves list in BloodRayne 2 pause menu) and making adjustments like making sure the jump vaulting (Aeon Flux) has greater height and distance then jump + flip (BloodRayne 2), perhaps can use pole jumping (Aeon Flux) with tightroping (BloodRayne 2) when it comes to climbing up on or jumping off (crouch effect when on tightrope sideways), combine pole jumping (Aeon Flux) with pipe climbing (BloodRayne 2) for improvement of jumping off, can maybe use hanging upside down on swinging pole (BloodRayne 2) with pole jumping (Aeon Flux) and pull enemy off ledge “with blade” (Aeon Flux). There’s also break free of grapple (Aeon Flux) (wiggle left stick left/right), kicking down an enemy near you while you’re getting up from the floor (Aeon Flux) (jump button), kicking an enemy near you when he/she is down on the floor (BloodRayne 2) (kick button) and slicing an enemy near you when he/she is down on the floor (BloodRayne 2) (attack button), as well as the property damage thing, deathtraps, enemies falling to their doom, pulling things down with chain, and breaking through glass (BloodRayne 2). And of course there’s the vampire lairs (BloodRayne 2) for complete recharge and the levers (BloodRayne 1 & 2) (near spot + attack button) to open or activate something.

BloodRayne 2 Moves List

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/919215-bloodrayne-2/faqs/35302

<Rayne> - (While kicking at an enemy who’s down on the floor) You’re getting your ass kicked by a size 8.

There’s the feeding (red health meter) and the killing (blue mana meter) (BloodRayne 2) which for the blue one to refill is to simply kill enemies with the blades until the blue meter replenishes or use Fatalities during a feeding (BloodRayne 2) and the “dial” that upgrades them (BloodRayne 2). The chain harpoon (BloodRayne 2) has a 40 feet range. Harpoon-Throw Enemies (BloodRayne 2) (left trigger + feed button + left stick directed). The legs of the feeding victim moves when made to turn and Rayne can be knocked off if an enemy gets her (BloodRayne 2).

It seems possible to do moves together from the two parkour lists below like jump vaulting (Aeon Flux) with gymnastic swinging (BloodRayne 2) or ledge climbing (Aeon Flux) for example. Even combine wall running (Aeon Flux) and automatic vaulting (Aeon Flux) when it comes to long fences. Person vaulting (BloodRayne 2) with jump vaulting (Aeon Flux) (left trigger + jump button 2X). Also jump vaulting (Aeon Flux) with height drop (BloodRayne 2) and wall running & jumping (Aeon Flux) with ledge climbing (Aeon Flux) or gymnastic swinging (BloodRayne 2). Types of obstacles can use both BloodRayne 2 and Aeon Flux parkour moves together.

BLOODRAYNE 2 PARKOUR

Tightroping

Jump + Flip (Jump button 2X)

Gymnastic Swinging (Hanging upside down included)

Pipe Climbing (Normal sliding)

Rail Grinding (Optional blades out)

Cartwheel (Left trigger + jump button)

Height Drop (Maybe optional rolling with left stick forward)

Fence Wall Jumping

AEON FLUX PARKOUR

Ledge Climbing (Run along lip included but perhaps using both hands)

Rolling (Crouch + jump button) (Rolling with dive roll included = jump button 2X)

Pole Jumping (Jump sideways or backwards included)

Ladder Climbing (Sliding included)

Wall Running & Jumping (Acrobatics included)

Sprinting (Maybe left stick forward 2X)

Vaulting (Both automatic & jump)

Ascend/Descend From Hook (On circle + right bumper) (Long distance only)

PARKOUR NOTE: Ascend/Descend from Hook (Aeon Flux) is made possible with a ‘spider thread bracelet’ that’s on Rayne’s right wrist and perhaps add a “Swing by Hook” version with the bracelet (midair + available hook + right bumper). Also, ledge climbing (Aeon Flux) seems to have the ability to eject jump (left stick directed + jump button). Run along lip of ledge climbing (Aeon Flux) has shown that it can turn corners. There’s also Person Vaulting (BloodRayne 2) where you vault over an enemy (left trigger (near enemy) + jump button). Gymnastic Swinging (BloodRayne 2) has “swinging” reverse direction with left/right with left stick while forward. Rail Grinding can jump sideways to another Rail Grinding if possible (BloodRayne 2). Pole Jumping can jump over an obstacle to reach another pole (Aeon Flux). There seems to be two types of automatic vaulting (Aeon Flux) which is the regular side vaulting and sometimes kong vaulting when climbing up something that has railing on top to get over. Tightroping and rail grinding can have curvy poles (BloodRayne 2).

GAME-PLAY CONTINUED - Maybe classics (updated version) like going through weaken walls (BloodRayne 1) (near spot + kick button), taking down radio towers or similar (BloodRayne 2) for both rail grinding and tightroping, roll through hole (Aeon Flux) (near spot + crouch + jump button), kick small object (Aeon Flux) (left bumper (target person) + near object + kick button), chain harpoon reeling and feeding (BloodRayne 1) (left trigger + feed button 2X), pole kick (BloodRayne 2) (on pole + kick button) and placing bombs (Aeon Flux) called alchemy bombs (near spot + right bumper) which can include descend from hook. Updated moves with some with blades like Hurdle Attack (Aeon Flux) (left bumper + automatic vaulting + kick button), Wall Run Attack (Aeon Flux) (wall running (sideways or upward) + left bumper + attack button), Rolling Attack (Aeon Flux) (crouch + left bumper + jump button + kick button), Hook Strike (Aeon Flux) (descend from hook + feed button to snag victim with hook) and Acrobatic Attack (Aeon Flux) (above + left bumper + attack button) which can perhaps be used with height drop (BloodRayne 2). There’s also a “auto-aim” version of cycle targets (BloodRayne 2) (hold left trigger + active enemy attack + right bumper) and would perhaps work on projectiles and an enemy with incredible strength can push defense pose Rayne back as she tries to keep her pose while receiving minor damage while Rayne’s legs would move along with the switch if need be.

Note: Rayne mentions that she likes the alchemy bombs because she doesn’t have to go through a scavenger hunt to blow things up. The alchemy bombs are small balls of energy that can stick to things and are created by a concealed module and it takes 30 seconds (stopwatch) to regenerate a new bomb per use.

CARPATHIAN DRAGONS (BloodRayne 2) – The shooting positions and auto-aim mechanics (updated version) of the BloodRayne 2 and Aeon Flux games like on swinging pole (no swinging) with hanging upside down included, wall running, ascend/descend from hook, ledge climbing, rail grinding, tightroping, in midair and on jumping pole as examples. Hanging upside down on a climbing pipe (BloodRayne 2) or a ladder is done by shooting the guns and back up when not shooting them. The right bumper is used instead of the right trigger when it comes to the Feed Fatalities (BloodRayne 2). There’s also the shooting while feeding (BloodRayne 1) with the right trigger and limbo sliding while shooting (Aeon Flux) (running + hold jump button + right trigger). Note: limbo sliding could perhaps be used without the guns when it comes to things like sliding under obstacles.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Carpathian_Dragons

DARKRAYNE (BloodRayne 2) – The head witch of the coven, Morana, despite her followers questioning on how dangerous this plan of hers could be when it comes to giving a dhampir the witch mark without knowing how the mark would react to vampire blood, decides to use Rayne through manipulation that “unlocks” ‘DarkRayne’ with the mystical ritual, meaning that some witches got the drop on Rayne, did the ritual on her that put the witch mark on her back and left her somewhere where she’s clueless on what happened, while wondering if a wild party was involved, and is one of the special skins from the BloodRayne 2 game. DarkRayne is like the skin replacement of Blood Fury when used and she acts crazy with a smile of enjoyment and it can only last when the blue meter has blue in it, then she’ll revert back to “BloodRayne”. DarkRayne’s twin blades, which are like Blood Fury BloodRayne, but glow purple. Rayne and her friends and enemies, which includes the witches, are of course shocked and horrified by this transformation that she went through and even the 6 remaining and mysterious vampire overlords from the end of BloodRayne 2 admit that they never seen a dhampir have this kind of power, while they later find out about the witch mark. Rayne is willing to admit that “DarkRayne” scares her because of the state of mind she’s in when she’s that creature. DarkRayne's whole eyes are black. The black tattoos on DarkRayne could be said that it's the witch mark spread around her body.

Rayne’s new witch mark gives her new powers.

DHAMPIR POWERS (blue meter) (BloodRayne 2)

(1) Aura Vision (1st gear) Enthrall (2nd gear) Ghost Feed (3rd gear)          Note: ghost feed and enthrall has switched places.

(2) Dilated Perception (1st gear) Super Speed (2nd gear) Freeze Time (3rd gear)          Note: sprinting (Aeon Flux) doesn't work when these things are on.

(3) Blood Rage (1st gear) Blood Fury (2nd gear) "DarkRayne" (3rd gear)

(4) Blood Storm (left & right bumpers together)

WITCH MARK (blue meter) Note: Some abilities are switchable with left bumper + d-pad and activated with the right stick (press). More moves can be created and added based on mechanic design.

(1) Shadow Consume (Conjuring shadow that can consume an enemy)

(2) Shadow Cloak (Limited invisibility)

(3) Dazed Breath (A shadow breath from the mouth that puts some enemies in a daze)

(4) Terror Scream (A scream that makes some enemies filled with terror for a moment and make them run away)

(5) DarkRayne (The skin replacement of Blood Fury when used and a level above Blood Fury)

(6) Shadow Ravens (Generates ravens made out of shadow that attacks some of the enemies)

The moves list of the pause menu would of course need to be updated.

THE ENEMIES – The mechanics (updated version) where some enemies can do martial art/acrobatic moves (BloodRayne 2) and grapple (Aeon Flux) and some have guns, staffs, crowbars, sledgehammers, axes, bats or shovels (BloodRayne 2) and maybe other melee weapons like swords, spears and katars that look homemade. The unarmed enemies have “imaginary gloves” that gives them the ability to push Rayne off them if she tries to feed on them like the ones with melee weapons if not from behind (BloodRayne 2), but no counterattack, and can be “disarmed” the same way or give them up if they pick up a weapon, while those with weapons do not have “imaginary gloves”, even after being disarmed. There’s rumors of “someone” is giving away ammo which explains the usage of guns and the theory is that it’s the pure vampires to cause more problems in Dreadful City. Chain harpoon reeling "moves" can leave Rayne vulnerable to other enemies when active. Maybe give them the ability to climb and stuff like Rayne. The city is filled with vampires, demons and phantoms of different types, as well as turned vampire gang members who managed to survive BloodRayne 2, which Rayne mentions that Ferril must have been seriously pissed when she made her army of hate and revenge because of the number they later discovered, but Severin thinks there might be a second source, since some of them seem new because a turned vampire develops advanced abilities after 1 year. Types of advanced turned vampires can either levitate or cling to walls. The bad guys can still hurt, kill or even knock into each other (BloodRayne 2). The fliers can be taken down to the ground with the chain harpoon. There’s also feral turned vampires who lost control of their blood thirst and in the past they were eliminated, but now have been weaponized by dumping them on Dreadful City and making it their problem.

LOCKDOWN VAMPIRES - The lockdown vampires (cutscene model) (BloodRayne 2) that Rayne can now fight and maybe also use the other lockdown vampire versions based on the three early design concept art and the “first cutscene model” and their master could be the “Early version of Lockdown” who names is Cytaha who helped secure the city in BloodRayne 2 for Kagan, and despite his master being gone, he feels duty-bound to keep the city secured despite great resistance. Cytaha is upset with Rayne for taking down his Brutes and Foremen (BloodRayne 2). Rayne finds a leftover hammer of a Foreman and uses it to end Cytaha.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Brute

<Rayne> - (Ends Cytaha with a Foreman’s hammer) I’m going to hammer you real good.

The witches use the witch mark to implant information into Rayne’s head on how to remove the shroud and how to use the crystals, which they managed to make based on available resources, where they need to be placed in certain areas, which of course Rayne has to fight to get to, and these crystals shoot up into the sky that removes the shroud from a certain area of the city. This of course makes her a major threat to the vampire overlords, since what Rayne’s using can be used in the areas of the world that they control. She soon learns about the witches and warlocks and that they were manipulating her, thanks to Severin’s low profile investigation when he felt something was strange about that mark on her back, and the fact that a ritual done by others was needed for it to exist, which of course earns them a place in her hit list. The becoming shroud-free areas can have a sun problem if it happens in the daytime and there are some battle zones where Rayne’s dhampirs are fighting the vampire overlords’ minions and other menaces.

Witch marks could perhaps give a once normal human the basic powers of electrokinesis, aerokinesis, cryokinesis, geokinesis, hydrokinesis and/or pyrokinesis, while advanced abilities like teleportation, cursing, enchantment, astral projection, healing others, weather and time manipulation, creating magical items and beings and other complex spells take preparations and sometimes help from other witches. The mark also gives them a weakness to salt and iron, but they have to be almost pure to have an effect, just like with sunlight and water to a vampire, since water is a component of blood.

BloodRayne does have allies like

(1) Severin, who sometimes contacts her through radio and seems to have a British accent, while helping to keep the city organized and is made head of the dhampir troops who come from around the world that have joined because so far Dreadful City seems to be the closest of being the safest place for a dhampir, thanks to the dhampir extermination campaign. Severin does it in a similar fashion that the Brimstone Society ran things, like military training, intelligence gathering and communications network. Severin mentions that the dhampir extermination campaign changed his plans for a large team (BloodRayne 2) into a small army. Ephemera’s ninjas have swore vengeance on them for what they did to their mistress and Severin feels like he’s being haunted by the wretched woman because of it, but sarcastically they think it’s nice that those psychos think of them from time to time. Severin still does the mysterious disappearing act, the kind when no ones looking, in the field when things are about to get too heated, which he can somehow sense, and explains that he’s not a fighter but a liaison that gathers and provides information to those who are, while Rayne says it’s to save his own ass, but he still has his uses. Severin will later be worried about what will happen after Rayne frees Dreadful City from the shroud, especially since the overlords will notice this and they will no longer be considered a nuisance, but a major threat, if it's revealed that the shroud can possibly be removed from the world, and may retaliate with something the city isn't ready to handle. The blood of Ephemera inside Severin's veins, that nearly turned him into a vampire, greatly slows down his aging. Severin is resourceful and intelligent, as well as mysterious and reclusive.

(2) She also has someone inside the Brimstone Society underground stronghold named Doctor Jill Blut, the great great granddaughter of Von Blut (BloodRayne 1) and hates being the descendant of that monster who was a Thule High Priest who had an outfit reminiscent of a Ku Klux Klan hood. Her job there is to reverse engineer Xerx Mephistopheles’ tech that created the shroud and find a way to get rid of it, which was a “gift” from Rayne, including the sun guns to better defend themselves, which the Cult of Kagan files, that has the symbol on the folders and was part of the gift, revealed that a human named Doc Holliday (Nocturne game) created the Vesper Shard prototype (BloodRayne 2) and that the Charged Radiance Emitter or Sun of God (Nocturne game) was an earlier version of the shard technology while it may be possible that the Enhanced Charged Radiance Emitter (Blair Witch Vol. 1: Rustin Parr) used a Vesper Shard. Rayne is still on Brimstone’s kill list because she’s a dhampir and marshal law is still going on.

(3) Belrassa, who has a Cajun accent, is the demi-demon daughter of the voodoo witch Marassa (BloodRayne 1) who gave birth to her in 1924. She’s the assassin's assassin, Rayne’s right hand lady, because she felt she owed Rayne for taking down the Queen of the Underworld which her foolish mother summoned it get Beliar's rib that was inside it and instead gotten eaten. And there’s also the part of self-survival to be honest. Belrassa has demonic strength, speed and agility in her demi-demon form which has reddish skin with the iris of her eyes as yellow. In 1942, when she was 18, she received training from the pure vampire Delinda in the West Indies, who was mentioned in BloodRayne 2, who also gave her the double bladed staff that was created long ago by a demon blacksmith. Delinda foreseen in a vision during a trance meditation that Rayne would behead her and planned to pretend loyalty to the family and give Rayne Dariel Zerenski’s name (BloodRayne 2) because she knew it would lead to her hated family’s downfall. Belrassa admitted that Delinda was odd but also evil in a way like when she fed people to her snakes that she had power over. There’s like a scene where Belrassa is in black human form and the vampires tell her she must be crazy being in their lair, especially since she smells like a human, and are obviously planning to feed on her because of it, but then Belrassa transforms and with her double bladed staff slays everyone except one. The survivor is threatened by the flaming blade at his neck and Belrassa, with a Cajun accent, asks him what she smells like now and with fear in his voice he says demon. The double bladed staff can convert to a smaller size when not in use. Belrassa wears what looks like a biker outfit.

Belrassa has a lady "vampiric" partner named Nokomis, a native American, who took down the turned vampire gang leader in his “office” without his gang knowing it because of amazing stealth who was planning to make an escape. She uses two kamas, but she also has a knife, and both were made by Raystrom.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Marassa

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Delinda

<Belrassa> - (Cajun accent) I may look a bit like my daddy, but I assure you that all of my nastiness comes from my mama’s side of the family.

(4) Mora, who was set to appear in the BloodRayne 2 game, but was cut due to time constraints, and I’m thinking of making her the ‘Outcast Vampire’. Her uncle, Mocturnal, a pure vampire of the lower class, was disgusted by his freakish niece because of her light powers and the fact that the sun didn't burn her, while thinking making the child an outcast would be worse then death, but she thrived and survived. Her light powers, photokinesis, allows her to bend light and make herself and who she’s touching invisible, while she has other abilities that are light based, like limited teleportation and energy blasts. Also she has found out that she can use her light to manipulate vegetation that can feed people, and uses it to make a deal with Rayne’s organization for the sake of survival for her and one other. Of course she has the need to feed on blood. She dresses like an elegant adventurer because she and her adopted daughter have “traveled” a lot. Rayne doesn’t completely trust her because of how secretive she can be in a mysterious and annoying way and also the fact that she's a pure vampire, but she spares her because of her usefulness and the fact that being an outcast and not being one of Kagan’s darling kids meant she had nothing to do with his cult. She's also charming, adventurous and self reliant, as well as fierce if need be. She was perhaps born in 1920 or 1921.

http://bloodrayne.wikia.com/wiki/Mora

<Mora> - There is a difference between a dishonest lie and a necessary secret, despite possibly looking the same, while I will admit I may have two of the first.... maybe three.

(5) Mora has a 13 year old adopted daughter who’s a Kestrel she named Snow who she found as a crying 2 year old girl, with hair long enough to “hide” her ears, and saved from the dhampir extermination campaign that targeted a Japanese special nursery building she was born in, as well as being the last Kestrel in existence. It's revealed that only female Kestrels were allowed to be born based on a sexist belief that they would of been easier to control and were made to wear face masks to symbolize them as "property" and not a person. For some reason a Kestrel has grayish skin, like they seemly had in BloodRayne 2. Snow was partly spared of Kagan’s policies of indoctrinating dhampirs into obedience, while she does wear a face mask, and because Mora acknowledged Snow as her daughter and treated her well, she learned how to read and write, as well as speak properly, instead of hard to understand statements like other Kestrels, and she can also speak Japanese, which she does sometimes when she's upset. She is a bit tomboyish and a little shy around people, but is an excellent and very clever fighter, while the other dhampirs make her feel that she’s an outsider because she's a Kestrel, while she does notice the native American named Nokomis fiddling with a bracelet that the other dhampirs avoid since she and Belrassa, who isn't there, have a rep. Snow becomes curious to learn on how Rayne made her blades glow red, advanced Blood Rage from BloodRayne 2, and Rayne, despite being annoyed by the girl, is willing to tell her that she, and another, sorta learned it from Mynce before she faked her death, became a double agent and died for it (BloodRayne 1), but had to be pushed to the limit with rage to finally do it which for her happened in 1953 when fighting a group of yetis who almost had her for dinner, while also describing the rush of her first time. It's a skill that Mynce created based on focusing some of the energy of classical Blood Rage from the BloodRayne 1, the chi, into the blades, thus making them glow and cut better, and by continuing to train after doing it, Rayne learned how to push it even further (Blood Fury and Blood Storm). Snow starts reading up on books based on chi that she finds in abandoned libraries and book stores in hopes to learn how to do it. Snow was born after the shroud covered the world, and as part of a replacement for the Kestrel that Rayne slain in BloodRayne 2, and is perhaps Kagan’s last offspring, but it's a mystery on how she was conceived after Kagan was slain. Her outfit is different to a Kestrel and is actually non-armored clothing with a hood that she wears, while Mora mentions that she tried to convince her daughter that she personally had nothing to do with the vampires and shroud, as well as what other Kestrels did in the events of BloodRayne 2.

SNOW’S ENCHANTED WHIP - In the beginning of the game she has no weapons except an enchanted whip that belonged to a human female hunter in a western outfit (BloodRayne: Nocturne 4 idea) who her mother killed to save her and she's very good at using it. She can use it to attack or grab enemies in a whip kind of way since it’s not a chain harpoon but the game-pad buttons and stuff used are the same. The whip’s mystic nature gives it a 40 feet range limit. Her mother insisted that she take the whip as a reminder of what happens when you're careless in a dangerous world, which was a mistake that the hunter made. The enchanted whip is a means to sorta differentiate Snow from Rayne who has a chain harpoon.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Gabriella_Augustini

<Rayne> - (Looking at Snow) Aw. It’s a widdle Wesdrel. (mildly annoyed) I thought I wiped them all out. (Mora being a bit protective, but keeping her posture) Yes, well, perfection is but a fool’s errand.

(6) A golem named Bob, a name he got later in his existence, who was created by a Jewish rabbi in 1940 and is a firm believer that violence should only happen when the reason is good enough based on why he was created, because the Nazis chose to be a threat and the rabbi had no choice. He has incredible strength and durability and has been part of Rayne’s organization for a couple of years.

https://judaism.wikia.org/wiki/Golem

(7) Raystrom, a dwarf who makes some of the equipment and weapons that Rayne's dhampirs use, like swords, spears, kamas, kukris, machetes and shurikens, while he’s also the inventor of the alchemy bombs and spider thread bracelet. Raystrom's people have been known for blacksmith alchemy, while Raystrom is also educated with modern technology and is an expert hacker. The reason Raystrom is part of this is because ever since the vampires took over the world, they have been forcing some of his people into serving them. During his free time, Raystrom sometimes like to play his electric guitar that he says gives him inspiration in creating. Raystrom is easy going and takes pride in his work. Raystrom mentions that in 1923, Hatnila, another dwarf (BloodRayne: Nocturne 3 idea), created Rayne's blades and bracers using blacksmith alchemy and years later someone murdered her and stole her designs and created four modified replicas, the DarkRayne skin ones used in BloodRayne 2, which was presented to the Cult of Kagan and given to the four female elite dhampirs in 1936 which led to rumors that they were the ones who killed Hatnila. Rayne tells him that she found her blades in Europe in 1932, but didn't know Hatnila was the creator at the time, while also hinting to Raystrom that she may have created another pair of blades, as if Rayne knew something (Svetlana Lupescu). It may be mentioned that blacksmith alchemy has a mass limitation when it comes to near unbreakable products which is why only hand held weapons are created. Using blacksmith alchemy to create a tank would crumble from pressure.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Other_Dhampir

(8) A nightclub called Club Farraige, the rebuilt club once named Club Strages (BloodRayne 2), open almost 24/7 because of the shroud making it always nighttime, that’s owned by a mermaid named Vanity, real name unknown and perhaps unpronounceable by humans, who has strict rules about fighting inside the building, even among enemies, and sometimes uses her siren song to calm down the men and abnormal strength when it comes to the women causing trouble. She has legs, while it’s believed that they can transform into a fish tail if she wants them to, and she has shown that she can grow claws and fangs, but she usually looks like a human and no one as ever seen her in her true form. She has orcs for bouncers, elf girls for waitresses and humans for bartenders. Vanity is said to be a little older then Kagan and in their first and only meeting he tried to bite her. She’s also the one who tells Rayne about Kasumi with great seriousness as if this being was the most horrifying monster on the planet. Rayne admits that despite facing vampires, werewolves, ghosts and demons, she never thought mermaids, fairies, orcs and elves existed until she met Vanity which was 6 years after the shroud came into being and forced them out of hiding. Vanity’s place is also a source of valuable information, but she believes in a favor for a favor which leads to (7) of the side mission or chapters part. Vanity and Mora are very old frenemies. Vanity behaves like a professional host and businesswoman. After mission 7, Rayne and Snow, who followed her, are at the club and Snow is given a milkshake for her part in the mission. Rayne heads for the girl’s room and overhears a elf employee complain to Vanity about the Kestrel and what they are to elf-kind and Vanity tells the employee that you can’t blame a child for being born as one.

<A guy at the bar> - (Tries to hit on Rayne) Hey, pretty lady. How about you give me the time of day, and then we can get to the sexier parts. (and then he gets clobbered.)

Kasumi, another character that was scrapped from the BloodRayne 2 game, would be the one who rules over the vampire overlords simply because she’s the most feared. She sees dhampirs as an abomination because of their impurity and it's like mating with one's meal. If Kagan wasn’t already dead, she would have probably killed him herself in the most gruesome painful way possible when the dhampir extermination campaign started, especially since Rayne and a good number of other dhampirs are part of her bloodline which just adds to her rage, because Kagan had this idea to breed and indoctrinate his dhampir children into loyal soldiers. Kasumi seems to have insect-like legs with membrane between them which may indicate that they can perhaps be used as wings to give her flight. Kasumi was the one to give the order that all dhampirs are to be hunted down and exterminated, since their “usefulness” had come to an end when the shroud came into being, as well as making it forbidden for a pure vampire to breed with a human. Before the shroud, Kasumi was a legend that was somewhat thought to be a myth, since she didn't show herself much back then. Even the Brimstone Society thought that Kagan and the 6 other overlords were the top dogs. Kagan and the other overlords are siblings and Kasumi's offsprings. Kasumi has no mercy for anyone.

http://bloodrayne.wikia.com/wiki/Kasumi

<Kasumi> - The dhampirs disgust me because they have human blood mixed with that of a pure vampire, though I once tolerated them when they had their use, but now that usefulness is over and it pleases me that the half-breeds will finally come to an end with nothing to stop me from delivering my wrath upon them.

The mancow has been cloned, perfected and modified where it’s just a ball of flesh that manufactures blood. No head, brain, nervous system and limbs. A means of keeping the ‘soldiers’ fed and buying loyalty from others who need blood to live.

Rayne has a locket with a picture of her mother “Rebecca?” and herself as a baby. (Prologue of the game) When she was 7 (1922), a butterfly collection with “taped” butterflies is shown, she heard her mother in the other room, who was driven insane with fear after finding out her whole family was slaughtered, screaming in terror and could have swore she saw her being dragged away through the window by horrifying creatures (turned vampires) and that she ran away until she was apprehended by two mysterious-looking men in suits who later sent her to Sir Tremayne's home in Europe. Rayne learned that her mother was dead when she overheard Tremayne discussing it over the phone and heard the name Kagan, and that was when her childhood ended early as she swore vengeance on the monster and finding out later that he was her father merely strengthened that resolve.

There’s also side missions or chapters like

(1) A pack of werewolves, people who can turn into feral beasts and some of them are women, who are also a biker gang called Feral’s Claws, heard about the dhampir running a city and believe they can take advantage of this and take over. Their leader is a rare pure breed named Big Dog and the most powerful among them. Silver of course is a weakness, but must be almost pure to have an effect. There’s also a motorbike duel where Rayne would use her chain harpoon on other bikers. The moonlight from a full moon that goes through the shroud, which is made out of blood, amps up Big Dog because of his pure breed nature.

(2) Within the Brimstone Society underground stronghold there’s a task force called the Red Hunters who’s leader thinks he’s the reincarnation of an inquisitor of the 15th century in Spain who was known for his cruelty and his team is quite fanatical, in fact, they think the shroud is a test from god to weed out both the monsters and unfaithful humans and starts to become a threat to the Brimstone Society, who they’re suppose to be working for, and the human survivors it’s sworn to protect. They actually do some monster slaying in their spare time, while usually prefer to use big swords to do it. Their leader desires the left eye of Beliar for it’s power that the Brimstone Society managed, through magic, to remove from Rayne’s real eye in 1940, because it was considered a potential ticking time bomb, and had it locked up real good. Doctor Jill Blut tells him he’s insane because even though Beliar is dead, his essence still lives on which is why the eye, and no doubt his other body parts out there, still holds power. The leader bonds the eye on his sword which empowers it. After his defeat, the eye gives out a ghostly voice of Beliar’s that calling Rayne’s name and Rayne destroys it by stomping it with her foot and mildly says ‘Fuck you, Beliar’.

(3) A designer drug called Spirit that semi-possesses someone in a way where they act like they’re in a trance and speak a weird language while going crazy and it’s highly addictive. The ones selling and making the drug are mutations who were human before the shroud happened and Severin is investigating to see how that happened, the mutation part, in case there’s a potential contamination going on that’s dangerous to humans. The drug is an extraction from phantoms and quite popular when it comes as a getaway from hell on earth. Too much use of the drug makes the user dead but still moving and green.

(4) A medical doctor, Doctor William Tutherman, who was given the journal and notes of Enric Loathring (Nocturne game) by a “stranger” and continued his work, managed to sneak into the city and has been reanimating corpses made out of left over dead parts of humans, vampires, demons and whatever he could find in a city that’s plentiful of raw material that’s usually just laying on the streets. He’s a fanatical fan of the book Frankenstein, as well as having a picture of Mary Shelley with him that he calls “his beloved” and talks to it, and after he’s reanimated the put together creations with a special fluid and electricity, he frees them to see how they react to outside stimulus. The creatures act savage and brain damaged while attacking people, which he sees as scientific observation, and the rejuvenation chemicals used inside the reanimated bodies are highly flammable. The creatures fear fire and stay clear of even the smallest flames. If they are set aflame, their bodies will explode, so it’s best that Rayne isn’t near them when they do. The doctor is a small man who looks, acts, speaks and walks really nerdy. Doctor William Tutherman is revealed that he speaks to the “stranger” and is later revealed to be Smiley (Nocturne game) who survived falling into a acid vat from long ago. It’s mentioned that Smiley is an augmented version thanks to Loathring after his first defeat with Joshua Stranger (Nocturne game) that made him immune to flames and how he survived the acid but there’s still a limit on how much damage he can take. It’s also mentioned by Smiley that Tutherman was perfect because he was the right kind of doctor who was a sick fan of Shelley and her book. Smiley is a ruthless, yet calm, collected and a bit sarcastic.

https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Smiley_(Nocturne)

<Smiley> - (After Rayne thought she won the fight) Whether it’s fire, acid or even an elephant gun. I just keep coming back!

(5) A bunch of goth-like humans with a goth girl as their leader named Bellatrix found a translated Chinese book on how to supernaturally raise the dead as jiangshi and adds to the problems that the shroud has already brought, who they think “dark gods” has brought forth and believe they will be rewarded by these dark gods for their deeds of making hell on earth even more hellish. The jiangshi feed on life force, instead of blood, and can make the dead bodies of their victims become jiangshi as well with a type of dark energy transfer through the mouths. They hop around with their arms outstretched. They’re terrified of their own reflections and have very sensitive hearing, also holding one’s breath makes them undetectable to them. The jiangshi can be high leapers and quite agile.

https://mythology.wikia.org/wiki/Jiangshi

<Bellatrix> - Darkness is a greater power because you can never knock it’s lights out.

<Bellatrix> - True horror isn’t about saying boo and startling someone, it’s about causing nightmares so horrifying that you would end up in a straitjacket.

(6) A disgraced and exiled pure vampire with mist-like powers named Augustine, who in 1975 tried to foolishly overthrow one of the overlords which of course failed and his own cowardliness saved him from sharing the same fate that his followers received, has made his “kingdom” in the sewers, a rat king so to speak, and his subjects are kidnapped humans that he made into turned vampires and of course has been causing trouble in the upper world that can’t be ignored, especially by Vanity when it comes to her nightclub business and expects the solution to be payment for her favor. Snow overheard Severin talking to Rayne via radio to tell her about the returned favor of Vanity's service of information, but she doesn't let him finish when it comes to who the target could be because of how busy she was right now. Snow decides to take the mission without anyone knowing in hopes to impress Rayne. Snow ends up finding a set of twin blades and bracers and “Serpent Predators” guns (see DarkRayne skin (BloodRayne 2) for blades and guns designs) that is still worn by a female elite dhampir corpse (BloodRayne 2). During the beginning of the mission where she's following some turned vampires into the reptile building of the zoo from the BloodRayne 2 game who are actually heading towards the aquarium building to use the hole Rayne once made with a stuff whale that leads to the drainage tunnel as a means to enter “Augustine's kingdom” by using the sewage access there and this is where the gameplay begins, in the sewers. Augustine is a narcissist and idiot for having a home that has a lot of water, but he sees it as a defense against his enemies. Augustine, after making his cowardly escape from Snow, meets an angry Rayne’s blade through the chest who was waiting for him after she finally learned who the favor was about, and while painfully being lifted up by that blade, he’s told that he had a daughter named Mynce with a Tibetan woman who was lucky to escape with her life, but later committed suicide when Mynce was a child because of the horrors he put her through, since it was all about pleasure for him and not purpose like Kagan, Mynce, being the calm and collected kind, believed that her “father” would one day face justice for what he did and Rayne made sure to make it happen in her own style. Augustine seems to be the second source of turned vampires that Severin mentioned and even took over Ferril’s survived turned vampires from BloodRayne 2.

SERPENT PREDATORS (BloodRayne 2) - Guns that mimic the Carpathian Dragons’ Blood Shot, Blood Stream and Blood Spray firing modes and were used by the female elite dhampirs (BloodRayne 2). Snow learns the hard way that the guns need blood from a source and that the stolen blood is stored inside the handles, thus less storage space when compared to the Carpathian Dragons. The guns will be upgraded in the BloodRayne: Nocturne 2 game idea. Note: I came up with the name Serpent Predators because I couldn’t find a name for them in any BloodRayne sources.

SNOW'S DHAMPIR POWERS (blue meter)

(1) Aura Vision (Able to see a red invisible field of energy that surrounds all beings with a life force, even through walls, and the strength of their health, as well as knowing where to go using the Brimstone Society emblem, and can see invisible objects)

(2) Dilated Perception (Reflexes and perception are enhanced and effectively allowing her to slow down her perception of time)

(3) Classical Blood Rage (BloodRayne 1)

<Augustine> - (Uses mist magic like a view screen to see Snow who’s after him and is enraged by this) A little girl! No, worse! A lowly Kestrel is causing me all this trouble?! I will not stand for this unforgivable insult for I am a pure vampire! One of the elite existences of this world!

(7) A circus of slashers in clown make up. Perhaps a learn the basics first mission. Kinda of 80’s style and tries to lure unsuspecting victims to their show, to make it feel safe, then have a slasher orgy when it’s a captured audience. It’s like a club of mentally disturbed humans with the ‘same interests’. Rayne finds clowns to be creepier then monsters.

<Head Clown> - (A decapitated head of one of the clowns rolls towards the confused head clown) Joe? What happen to the rest of you?

The Butcheress (BloodRayne 1), the sadistic and deranged with a German accent Báthory Mengele, is revealed to be alive and still youthful. I believe it’s been said that she was experimentally enhanced and perhaps bathing in virgin blood enhances her vigor because of it. She ended up making a deal with the vampire overlords after the “real” Kommando, who faked his death while wounded on the lower left side with blood and wore one of his men's uniforms while his face wasn't shown, rescued her from both the Daemites, with a sword he found, and the furnace fire from the BloodRayne 1 game without Rayne noticing. The rescue was a right place at the right time thing. The vampires provided her virgin blood in exchange for her skills that she once used for the Gegengeist Gruppe, where she creates ‘new types of monstrosities’ for them using the DNA of Daemite, Maraisreq, Brute and Unraveler in different combinations. She knows of the Nosfer virus that leads to the creation of turned vampires, also known as vampiric humans, which comes from the pure vampire’s bite and dies off after the transformation is complete, if the victim is allowed to live, which explains why there has never been a pandemic of vampirism on the world in the past. She also heard about Severin and how he has the blood of Ephemera’s in his veins which he drank and is perhaps a source of the Nosfer virus because he wasn’t completely turned.

<The Butcheress> - Science without morals can be like magic. A maker of miracles.

Kommando (BloodRayne 1), who's unmasked face is never shown, has been in a induced deep sleep that preserved him and later the Butcheress has him drink a special tonic that enhances his physical and mental prowess and healing to give him a fighting chance against dhampirs. Severin has a theory, based on Kommando's profile and the fact that he's still alive, that he wasn't prideful enough to fight an obvious losing battle, like the Daemites slaughtering everyone, and perhaps decided to retreat by being lucky enough to fake his death, that the one that Rayne slain, the Daemite one, was probably someone else in Kommando's uniform, while he admits the enhanced abilities are new and was a big surprise for Rayne. The Kommando is hard to kill thanks to his healing which kicks in after each defeat. The Butcheress admits that she once had sexual fantasies for the Kommando because he was so mysterious, that involved a scalpel and bone saw. In the end, Snow, who was thought to have been taken down by Kommando’s sneak attack that starts the final battle of the game between Rayne the dhampir and Kommando the super-soldier, desperately manages to do the advanced version of Blood Rage (savage power), the glowing blades one, like an awakening for her by being pushed to the limits of rage, which is partly self-loathing, to save the helpless Rayne by decapitating the caught by surprise Kommando, but then Rayne has to try to calm Snow down because she’s becoming overwhelmed from her first try. Kommando doesn't speak and has a very strong tactical background and is highly trained. His no nonsense behavior and using his head combined with his enhanced abilities makes him a very dangerous soldier and of course there's being a superb assassin and saboteur. Kommando wears a modern version of the outfit he once wore, as well as weapons, and it was Butcheress who convinced the overlords to allow her to awaken him and send him to Dreadful City. Kommando has a scar on his lower left side that Rayne gave him in BloodRayne 1.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Kommando

<Butcheress> - (Watching the Kommando drink the special tonic) This is an advanced version of what you took in the 30’s and will make you into a true Übermensch.

<Snow> - (Narration while advanced Blood Rage awakening) I know that it was the vampires who created this hell on earth, and my fellow Kestrel helped, and who knows what kind of person my mother would have been if she was never banished when she was a child, and I'm aware how she can get into a lot of people's nerves, but she, a pure vampire, choose to take a Kestrel child who's kind is considered the mongrel of the dhampirs, and perhaps she did it because she was lonely, but instead of making it submit to obedience, she tried to raise it to become something more then what others would expect from my kind, to give it something no Kestrel ever had…. a feeling of self-worth.

Xerx Mephistopheles is being held prisoner as if he’s Hannibal Lecter. The outside world thinks he’s dead. His dysfunctional bio-armor protected him from true death after his battle with Rayne while losing consciousness and why she had him imprisoned instead of slain is because he’s the creator of the shroud and Rayne was in a good mood after slaying Kagan in BloodRayne 2, which Xerx wants revenge for. On their latest meeting, Xerx could sense something was different about Rayne and could smell the power of the witch mark from her, after DarkRayne being unlocked, and while he admits it fills him with fear, he is also equally intrigued by what monstrosity would be created when a dhampir has the mark and perhaps makes her an even greater threat to the vampire overlords, and possibly to humanity. Rayne asks Xerx on why he was so loyal to Kagan who was a self-serving bastard, which was probably one of the reasons Xerx’s siblings wanted to betray their father and the other was that they were also self-serving bastards, and he tells her that he knows people see him as a tool, but at least a tool can create things, like the shroud that he sees as a devotion of love to his father, while his siblings were nothing more then privileged fools who thought they were born better and done nothing but wait to inherit something that was created by others. Despite his hatred for Rayne, he can at least respect the fact that she stood on her own two feet when she was a child with no family, instead of ending up like Kagan’s dhampirs, but he promises that he is still going to see her destroyed for what she did to Kagan and his legacy.

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Xerx_Mephistopheles

https://bloodrayne.fandom.com/wiki/Kagan

Mora and the later escaped Xerx Mephistopheles have a face off and it’s revealed that he once had Mora captive in 1936 and did torturing experiments on her hoping that he could give vampires her unique immunity to sunlight, while the shroud was perhaps plan B, and Mora tells him that ever since she escaped, she craved revenge and heard rumors that he was still alive and in Dreadful City. Before dying, he tells Mora that even though this is the end of him…. And his beloved father Kagan, the one called The Forgotten Child will destroy the world, and it's all thanks to the Cult of Kagan.

Thanks to the witch mark, Rayne now has a weakness to salt and iron, but her vampire half gives her limited immunity, thus making it less potent when compared to an average witch, like her weakness to sunlight and water are lesser then a vampire because she’s half human, while of course the four elements have to be almost pure to have an effect, like blood for example which has water in it but isn’t pure water.

(3) I take it that we’re still going have those one-sided conversations.

(4) You know, Kommando, you being quiet is both pleasant and creepy.

The ending after the credits. Elsewhere in the world with the shroud shown up in the sky, Joshua Stranger (Nocturne game) is standing and looks behind him where the lower part of Svetlana Lupescu (Nocturne game) is shown and when Stranger ask her if she’s ready to do this, she answers with a blade coming out.
