Effective Date: August 3, 2025
ShrinkSuite (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a Chrome extension designed solely to compress images, videos, and PDF files offline, directly in your browser. This Privacy Policy explains what information (if any) ShrinkSuite collects, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.
2. What Data We Collect
No Personal Data
ShrinkSuite does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, files, or usage analytics. All compression and processing occur locally in your browser.
Local Settings Only
We store only minimal user preferences—your last-used target size unit (KB/MB/GB) and quality presets—in Chrome’s local storage (chrome.storage.local). These settings are never shared with any server.
3. Why We Request Permissions
sidePanel
Allows ShrinkSuite to render its user interface in Chrome’s side panel.
No host, network, or third-party permissions are requested or used.
Local Storage of Preferences
Your selected size unit and quality settings are saved via Chrome’s storage API so that when you next open ShrinkSuite, it remembers your preferences.
No External Transmission
At no time are your files, contents, or preferences uploaded to a server or shared externally.
ShrinkSuite bundles all required JavaScript and WebAssembly modules (FFmpeg.wasm and Ghostscript WASM) within the extension package. We do not load any code or resources from external domains at runtime, nor do we use dynamic eval calls.
ShrinkSuite is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Continued use of ShrinkSuite after any change constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
