My project is to improve the current understanding of the mechanism of human Tyrosinase, a key enzyme of melanogenesis, by elucidating the structure of the active enzyme using Cryo-EM. It elaborately explores the interface of chemistry and biology.

About

I am a graduate student working under the supervision of Dr. Gurunath Ramanathan in the department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. I joined IIT-K in August 2021. I have 2 years of industrial experience as research associate in Formulation and Drug Product Development team at Biologics division of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. I completed my M.Sc. from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Microbiology from Gargi College, Delhi University.
