Data We Collect
We do not collect personal data. All content you create — your performers, rehearsal logs, accepted challenges, checklist progress, saved look analyses, and chat history — stays on your device. We do not require an account, do not track your activity, and do not use third-party analytics.
AI Features
When you use an AI feature inside Showstopper, the text or image you submit is sent to OpenAI (model: gpt-4o-mini) so a response can be generated. This applies to two features: "Analyze My Look", where a photo of your costume or stage pose is sent for visual feedback, and "Ask the Ringmaster", where your typed message is sent for a reply. No personal identifiers, no profile data, and no saved items are included in those requests. OpenAI processes the request on their infrastructure under their own privacy terms.
Camera and Photos
Showstopper asks for camera and photo library access only when you choose to add a performer photo or analyze your look. Images you select are used solely for that purpose. Photos added to performers are stored locally on your device. Photos sent for AI analysis are transmitted securely and are not retained by us.
Third-Party Services
Showstopper uses OpenAI's API for AI-powered features. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to any data processed through their service: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Data Storage
All of your data — performers, logs, settings, history, and progress — is stored locally in the app's private container on your device. We have no access to it. Deleting Showstopper from your device permanently removes all of this data.
Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any of your data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete or export on your behalf. To remove all data associated with Showstopper, simply uninstall the app.
Children's Privacy
Showstopper is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated within the app.
