Hi, I am Shounak Paul, and I am currently a Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

I work on Artificial Intelligence (AI) based applications in the legal domain under the supervision of Dr. Pawan Goyal and Dr. Saptarshi Ghosh. My primary research interests are Legal Data Mining and Natural Language Understanding.

Currently, I am working on the problems of Legal Judgment Prediction in the Indian legal scenario and pre-training Deep Transformer Architectures such as BERT on Indian legal corpus.
