Shoppingu collects and stores locally on your device:
- Photos you take for scanning
- Product information from scans
- Your currency preference
- Your dietary restrictions
- Your shopping lists and ratings
## How We Use Data
- Photos are sent to Google ML Kit for text recognition
- Text is sent to Google Gemini API for product analysis
- Currency requests are sent to frankfurter.app
- All processing happens to provide you product information
- We never sell your data
## Data Storage
- All data stored locally on your device
- No cloud backups
- No server storage
- You control all your data
## Third-Party Services
We use:
- **Google ML Kit** (OCR - Optical Character Recognition)
- **Google Gemini API** (AI analysis and product information)
- **Frankfurter.app** (Currency conversion rates)
These services have their own privacy policies. Please review them to understand how they handle your data.
## Data Deletion
Delete all data anytime:
1. Open Shoppingu
2. Navigate to Settings (hamburger menu)
3. Scroll to "Clear All Data"
4. Confirm deletion
All your photos, diary entries, shopping hauls, and lists will be permanently removed.
## Your Rights
- You own all your data
- You can export or delete your data anytime
- We don't track your activity
- We don't share your data with anyone
