ShoferX collects and processes personal data in accordance with Kenya's Data Protection Act (2019). Your privacy is our priority. By using ShoferX, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
• Account information (name, email, phone number)
• Real-time location data during active rides
• Trip history and ride details
• Device information and usage analytics
Payment information is never stored by ShoferX — transactions are handled directly between you and the driver.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve ride services, match you with nearby drivers, prevent fraud, and comply with Kenyan law. Location data is only accessed in real-time during active rides.
4. Data Retention
• Trip history: retained for 5 years
• Location data: deleted 30 days after each trip
• Account data: retained for 3 years after account closure
5. Third Parties
Google Maps API and Firebase (Google Cloud) process location and authentication data on our behalf. Their privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy (google.com/policies/privacy). We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
6. Your Rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

• Request corrections to inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
