SHOAIB SAIKAT

GRADUATE STUDENT | LIFE SCIENCE ENTHUSIAST | RESEARCH VOLUNTEER

Shoaib Saikat is a dedicated graduate student in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. With a strong academic foundation and a deep curiosity about the molecular underpinnings of life, he is passionate about unraveling the complex biological mechanisms that govern health, disease, and the environment. His academic journey is driven by a commitment to understanding how biochemistry seeks answers to life’s fundamental questions, while biotechnology empowers those answers to be translated into impactful innovations.

Shoaib is particularly interested in virology, bioinformatics, and molecular diagnostics, with growing experience in both wet-lab techniques and computational tools. He has co-authored peer-reviewed research, served as a research assistant in projects focused on viral pathogens and antibiotic resistance, and continues to contribute to studies that bridge molecular biology and public health.

Beyond the lab, Shoaib is actively engaged in social and volunteer work, believing in the power of science not just to discover—but to serve. His long-term goal is to contribute to scientific research that promotes human well-being, advances sustainable healthcare, and strengthens science-led policy in Bangladesh and beyond.
