About Me

My name is Shivam Kansara and Currently and I am working as a Post-Doctoral Position at the Department of Energy Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, S Korea with Prof. Jang-Yeon Hwang, Next Generation Energy Materials Lab (NEM). I am a computational material scientist with expertise in several disciplines including condensed matter physics and computational material. My research interest is an investigation of novel materials for future energy devices as well as a collaborative theoretical investigation with energy experimental labs.

Before I was working with the Physics Department as an assistant professor, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya (KSV), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, INDIA and I am still associated with the place. Over there, I was teaching a Master's as well as a Bachelor's degree in Physics. My teaching interest is Solid State Physics and Quantum Mechanics. I am on leave till to complete post doctoral tenure.

I was awarded my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Applied Physics, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, INDIA in 2019. In the past, I was working with Dr. Yogesh Sonvane (AMLab) group. My area of research is the Theoretical (Computational) application of Condensed Matter Physics based on density functional theory (DFT). I received a Master of Science (MSc) from Sardar Patel University under the Department of Physics, in 2014.
