Laser Spectroscopy Apparatuses
fs Raman-induced Kerr effect spectroscopy(fs-RIKES)
fs-RIKES setup in the Shirota Lab was originally built using a titanium sapphire laser (CDP, TISSA-kit-20) at the University of Tokyo in 2003, then rebuilt at Chiba University in 2007.
In 2001, the titanium sapphire laser was replaced with another one (KMLabs, Griffin). The signal sensitivity (S/N) has been substantially increased.
Frequency range: ca. 0.3 - 700 cm-1.
Temperature range: ca. 260 - 350 K.

Sub-ps optical Kerr effect spectroscopy(ps-OKES)
ps-OKE setup in the Shirota Lab was built using a titanium sapphire laser (SP, Mai Tai HP) at Chiba University in 2023.
Frequency range: ca. 0.02 - 100 cm-1.
Temperature range: ca. 260 - 350 K.
