Shirleyhealth is a private record book for health information you write down yourself — blood pressure, weight, medicines, notes, and photographs of letters and results. It is built so that your record stays yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.
We do not collect your data. Shirleyhealth has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no crash reporter, and no server that we operate.
Your record stays on your device and in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
The app never interprets your health information. It records what you enter and shows it back. It does not tell you whether a reading is high, low, or normal, does not diagnose anything, and never suggests treatment.
Your health record — the readings, medicines and doses, day notes, documents, and the personal details you enter on the About you screen (name, year of birth, conditions, allergies, doctor visits) — is stored on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, synced through Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to your other devices and, if you choose to share, to the people you invite. This data lives in your iCloud account. The developer has no access to it and no server that receives it.
Photographs and scanned pages you file are stored in the app's own storage on your device, protected by iOS device encryption. They are never written to your Photos library.
Automatic backup copies are written as files into your iCloud Drive so you can recover your record. They stay in your iCloud account. If iCloud Drive is unavailable they are kept on the device instead.
Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Sharing is off by default. If you invite someone, Apple's CloudKit sharing gives that person access, through their own Apple Account, to a copy of only the items you selected — not your whole record. What they receive is read-only: they cannot change anything. You can stop sharing at any time. Sharing is entirely between you, the people you invite, and Apple's iCloud — the developer is not involved and receives nothing.
When you photograph a document, text recognition runs entirely on your device, using Apple's built-in Vision framework. The image and the recognised text are never transmitted anywhere.
The app works fully offline and makes no network requests of its own. It connects to the internet only to:
Sync and share through Apple iCloud, as described above.
Process purchases through the App Store.
There is no other network activity. No usage data, diagnostics, or identifiers are transmitted to the developer.
Exports are files you create and control. Export is free forever — with or without a subscription, and after a subscription ends. Everything you have written stays yours. If you save an export to iCloud Drive, email it, or include the app in an iPhone backup, that storage is governed by Apple's terms, not ours. We recommend keeping at least one export somewhere safe.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. The developer never sees your payment details. Purchase and subscription status is provided to the app by Apple.
Shirleyhealth does not use Apple HealthKit. It does not read from or write to the Health app, and holds no HealthKit entitlement. Everything in your record is there because you typed it or photographed it.
Shirleyhealth is a personal record-keeping tool. It serves no medical purpose, provides no medical advice, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition. Reminders can fail — do not rely on them alone for important medicines. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health.

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
