Shining Lights Learning Center

Mission Statement

As a ministry of the First Congregational Church of Littleton, Shining Lights Learning Center is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of each child enrolled, while providing opportunities for optimal social and emotional growth, as well as development of physical and cognitive skills. In a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment, children will have opportunity to understand and see their world, life, and education through a Christian perspective. We seek to enable each child together with his/her family to develop a Christ-centered world view.

FCC Shining Lights Learning Center provides services to all children and their families who are eligible for its programs in a nondiscriminatory manner, without regard to race, color, religion (creed), gender (gender expression/identity), national origin (ancestry), political beliefs or disability.  We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, volunteers and the children and families we serve.

Our Values

• Our children learn kindness through collaborative play, books, examples from our staff, emotional curriculum and our carefully selected daily activities.  

• They learn patience by taking turns and interacting with students older and younger than them.

Other Information

• During the summer we take a week break after the school year ends and before the school year begins to allow our staff to rejuvenate and update the Center and classrooms. 

• Our children participate in a Christmas Pageant and Spring Pageant.
