CV (updated on Aug. 2023)

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute at the University of Utah, USA, where I am currently conducting research on advanced machine learning/deep learning and statistical methods for analyzing and quantifying medical images, such as CTs, MRIs, and histopathology images. In addition, my research interests also encompassed artificial intelligence, computer vision, and their applications in various fields, such as anomaly detection, image captioning, and action recognition to sign language recognition. I completed my Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology) in South Korea under the supervision of Prof. Moongu Jeon in 2022, and received a research award for my PhD thesis research. Prior to that, I received an M.S. degree in Computational Science and Applications in Signal Processing from Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi, India, in 2016, where I was awarded Gold Medals for my outstanding performance. I also hold a B.S. degree in Electronics, Mathematics, and Physics from C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur, India, in 2014. In 2017, I joined the Machine Learning and Vision Laboratory as a doctoral researcher, where I developed my keen research interests in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision. My current research work in medical imaging is geared towards developing scalable medical imaging techniques that utilize high-performance computing and visual perception modeling to employ advanced machine learning and deep learning methods for several biomedical applications. On the other hand, my computer vision research focuses on learning the contextual relationship between objects and their actions in the image/video with the surroundings and other present objects by combining visual, temporal, and language-based models and applying them to several large-scale automated machines to enhance safety and comfort for end-users.

I am highly passionate about pursuing a challenging career in research and seek opportunities to work with organizations that enhance my understanding, skills, and desire to reach the pinnacle in the computing field. I am open to global collaboration with other groups working in Medical Imaging, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence fields. In the future, I aspire to join a world-class leading research group or company in Artificial Intelligence as a Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Scientist to perform impactful research. Ultimately, I aspire to make significant contributions to science that will benefit people around the globe.
