This Privacy Policy explains how Shift Tracker (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App.
Shift Tracker is a work schedule and shift planning application. The App allows users to manage shifts, working hours, estimated earnings, days off, vacations, notifications, calendar exports, PDF exports, and related information.
By using Shift Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Shift Tracker does not require an account and does not operate its own server for storing your work schedule.
The following information is stored locally on your device:
• Work shifts and schedules
• Shift start and end times
• Work patterns
• Days off and vacation dates
• Hourly rates and pay settings
• Estimated earnings
• Overtime and bonus settings
• Notes entered into the App
• App preferences and settings
• Notification preferences
This information is not uploaded to our servers.
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it through the App, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.
2. Firebase Analytics
Shift Tracker may use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how users interact with the App and to improve its features, stability, and usability.
Firebase Analytics may automatically process limited technical and usage information, including:
• App interactions and feature usage
• App version
• Device type and operating system version
• Language and regional settings
• General diagnostic information
• App instance identifiers
• Approximate location derived from an IP address
We do not send your shift dates, work schedule, earnings, hourly rate, employer information, vacation dates, notes, or calendar content to Firebase Analytics.
Analytics information is used only to understand general usage patterns and improve the App.
3. Advertising
The free version of Shift Tracker may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Google Mobile Ads may process information such as:
• Device and advertising identifiers
• IP address and approximate location
• App interactions
• Advertisement interactions
• Device and app information
• Diagnostic information
• Information used to prevent fraud and abuse
Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices.
Where required by law, Shift Tracker uses Google’s consent management tools to request your advertising preferences before loading advertisements.
You may be able to review or change your consent choices through the Privacy Options section in the App.
Users with an active Shift Tracker Pro subscription do not see advertisements.
4. Google Play Subscriptions
Shift Tracker may offer monthly or yearly subscriptions through Google Play.
All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your:
• Payment card number
• Bank account information
• Google account password
• Full billing information
The App may receive limited subscription information from Google Play, such as:
• Product purchased
• Purchase status
• Subscription status
• Purchase token
• Whether a purchase has been acknowledged or restored
This information is used only to activate, verify, and restore Shift Tracker Pro features.
5. Google Calendar
Shift Tracker may allow Pro users to export shifts and vacations to Google Calendar.
Calendar access is requested only when you choose to use this feature.
Depending on the implementation and permissions granted, the App may access calendar information as necessary to:
• Create shift events
• Create vacation events
• Update events previously created by Shift Tracker
• Prevent duplicate calendar events
• Remove events when requested by the user
Calendar information is processed on your device and is not sent to us.
Shift Tracker does not use your calendar information for advertising or analytics.
You can revoke calendar permission at any time through your device settings.
6. PDF Export
Shift Tracker may allow users to create PDF documents containing their work schedule.
PDF files are generated locally on your device. They are not automatically uploaded to us or to any external server.
You decide where a PDF is saved or shared. When you share a PDF with another application or person, the receiving service’s own privacy policy applies.
7. Notifications
Shift Tracker may send local notifications about upcoming shifts, schedule reminders, or other selected events.
Notification settings and schedule information are processed locally on your device.
The App does not send your shift schedule to us in order to provide notifications.
You can disable notifications through the App or your device settings.
8. Home Screen Widget
Shift Tracker may provide a home screen widget that displays information about your current or upcoming shift.
Widget data is obtained from information stored locally on your device.
The widget may display schedule information on your home screen, which could be visible to anyone who has access to your device. You are responsible for deciding whether to add and display the widget.
The widget does not transmit your schedule information to us.
9. Permissions
Depending on the features you use, Shift Tracker may request the following permissions:
Notifications
Used to send shift and schedule reminders.
Calendar access
Used only when you choose to export or manage Shift Tracker events in your calendar.
Storage or document access
Used when you choose where to save, import, export, or share a document.
Permissions are requested only when needed for a relevant feature. You can revoke permissions through your device settings, although some features may then stop working.
10. Information We Do Not Collect Directly
Shift Tracker does not directly collect or require:
• Your name
• Your home address
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your employer’s name
• Your precise GPS location
• Your contacts
• Your photos or videos
• Your financial account credentials
• Your payment card information
You can use the main features of the App without creating an account.
11. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your locally stored shift schedules, rates, earnings, vacations, or notes with advertisers or other companies.
Limited technical, analytics, advertising, and subscription-related information may be processed by service providers used by the App, including:
• Google Firebase
• Google AdMob
• Google Play Services
• Google Play Billing
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.
12. Data Retention
Schedule and preference data stored locally remains on your device until you:
• Delete individual records
• Use an available clear-data function
• Clear the App’s storage
• Uninstall the App
Analytics, advertising, and subscription-related information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s policies, service settings, and applicable legal requirements.
13. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing.
Because Shift Tracker does not operate user accounts or store your work schedule on its own servers, most schedule data can be managed directly on your device.
You can:
• Edit or delete shifts and vacations inside the App
• Clear locally stored App data
• Uninstall the App
• Disable notifications
• Revoke calendar permission
• Change advertising privacy choices where available
• Reset or limit your device’s advertising identifier
• Contact us with privacy-related questions
Please note that uninstalling the App normally deletes locally stored App data unless it has been exported or backed up separately.
14. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to limit data processing and keep core schedule information stored locally on your device.
However, no device, application, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any exported PDF or calendar information.
15. Children’s Privacy
Shift Tracker is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided information in a way that is not described by this policy, please contact us.
16. Third-Party Services
Shift Tracker may use services provided by Google.
Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.
The App may also allow you to share exported information through third-party applications. We are not responsible for how those third-party applications process information after you choose to share it.
17. International Data Processing
Google and its service providers may process limited analytics, advertising, diagnostic, and subscription-related information in countries other than the country where you live.
Such processing is performed according to the safeguards and policies maintained by the relevant service provider and applicable law.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, third-party services, or legal requirements change.
The updated policy will be published with a revised effective date.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
