Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before downloading, installing, or using the ShieldCore – Safety & Privacy mobile application (“App”) provided by AegisCore Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.
Scope of Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the App on iOS devices. They do not govern any separate agreement you may have with Apple, your carrier, or any third‑party service provider. Your use of any third‑party services accessed via the App is also subject to that third party’s terms and privacy practices.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirement and that you have legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
License and Use Restrictions
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, AegisCore Tech grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control for personal, non‑commercial use. You agree not to:
copy, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the App;
modify, create derivative works of, distribute, sell, sublicense, transfer, or exploit the App or any part of it;
remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App;
use the App in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Account, Support, and Communications
Some features may require you to provide contact information (e.g., an e‑mail address). You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. We may send administrative messages and service notifications to the email you provide. For support, contact: shield.help@outlook.com.
Purchases, Subscriptions and Billing
If the App offers paid features, in‑app purchases, or subscriptions, purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and subject to Apple’s payment terms. Billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled through your Apple ID and the App Store; please review Apple’s support pages for details. Subscriptions auto‑renew unless you cancel them through your Apple account settings prior to the renewal date.
iOS Permissions and Device Settings
The App may request permissions necessary to provide its features (for example, access to storage usage information, notifications, or background activity). You can manage permissions at any time in your device Settings. If you disable permissions, certain App features may not function correctly. The App does not access contacts, messages, call logs, or precise device location unless you explicitly authorize such access.
Privacy
Collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read that policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and share information. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Contact: shield.help@outlook.com.
Third‑Party Services and Links
The App may integrate or link to third‑party services (analytics, cloud services, help centers, etc.). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third‑party content, performance, or practices. Apple is not a party to these third‑party arrangements.
Updates and Changes to the App
We may provide updates, patches, or new versions of the App. You agree to accept updates as part of maintaining the App. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the App itself at any time without prior notice. Continued use after updates constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to the App, including text, graphics, user interface, code, trademarks, and logos, are owned by AegisCore Tech or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.
Warranties and Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR‑FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEGISCORE TECH AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE APP (IF ANY) DURING THE PRIOR TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless AegisCore Tech and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the App; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of another.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time with or without cause and without notice. Upon termination, your license ends and you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will continue to apply.
Export Controls and Compliance
You will comply with all export and import laws that apply to the technology used or provided through the App. You must not use or download the App if doing so would violate applicable export control laws or regulations.
Children’s Safety
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete that information. Parents can contact us at shield.help@outlook.com.
Governmental and Legal Requests
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, property, or safety of AegisCore Tech, our users, or others.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the amended Terms in the App and update the “Last updated” date. If the changes are material, we will try to provide more prominent notice. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You and AegisCore Tech agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the County of San Francisco, California for any legal action arising out of or related to these Terms or the App. If you are a resident of a U.S. state that prohibits forum selection clauses, this provision will not apply to the extent prohibited by that state’s law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies or notices we publish in connection with the App, constitute the entire agreement between you and AegisCore Tech regarding the App, superseding any prior agreements.
Additional Rights for California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related laws. Please review our Privacy Policy for CCPA‑specific information and how to exercise your rights, or contact us at shield.help@outlook.com.
Relationship with Apple
The App is distributed via Apple’s App Store. You acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the App or our obligations hereunder. All purchases are processed by Apple, and issues related to billing, refunds, or subscriptions should be directed to Apple Support as a first step.
