INTRODUCTION
Hi there, I'm Shi Ding(✨Stella💫)! I am currently a PhD student at the Expressive Machinery Lab at Georgia Tech, where I served as a Graduate Research Assistant for the EarSketch Accessibility project. EarSketch was recognized as one of the top digital learning tools in the United States by the American Library Association in 2024. Additionally, I am leading a research initiative to integrate large language models (LLMs) into EarSketch, aiming to further explore the intersection of AI and education while enhancing learning experiences in innovative ways.
My primary research focuses on human-computer interaction, with a specific emphasis on human-centered AI—particularly generative AI in learning environments and accessibility. My work integrates insights and methodologies from multiple disciplines, including artificial intelligence, cognitive science, psychology, and learning science. This interdisciplinary approach, combined with my extensive experience in education and technology, serves as the foundation for developing innovative solutions that enhance human potential in real-world settings.
My goal is to empower individuals to lead healthier, happier, and more creative lives by transforming learning experiences. Throughout this process, I am committed to the responsible development and ethical use of socially and emotionally persuasive technology, ensuring it creates a positive impact on society.
