Wei-Yen Hsu received the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2008. He is a Professor with the College of Artificial Intelligence, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Tainan, Taiwan now. His research interests include image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning. He wins the Young Scholar Award of Taipei Medical University in 2011. He wins the Young Scholar Award and Outstanding Research Award of National Chung Cheng University in 2013 and 2019, respectively. He also wins the honors of "World's Top 2% Scientists 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024". In addition, he is nominated for Full Membership in Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. He is also nominated for the 2024 TWAS Award (Engineering & Computer Sciences field) with the recommendation of a TWAS fellow from Taiwan. He is a Founding Member of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Society (2015-), and is also the Academic Editors of Medicine journal and PLoS One journal, and Associate Editors of BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making journal and IEEE Access journal.
